Assuming this update means exactly what it says, sub level 20 players can still enter alone from Team Arenas. I wouldn't really have thought of this, except for the fact a level 19 Warrior with Gladiator's Defense was repeatedly entering Team Arenas solo several days ago...
Perhaps ANET could disable non-4 man groups from entering Team Arenas again, or just fix it so that sub-level 20 players can not enter Team Arenas without a full four man team? *shrug*
On a side note, why not just set it to 200 total attribute points, and max armor? Because a guy with armor that has 45 AL and who only has 170 attribute points is still at a massive disadvantage compared to a level 20 with all of that...
Either way, thanks for the long overdue fix ANET. Now we all have one less reason to ragequit in Random Arenas...

Yeah, this takes a lot of testosterone fueled rage out of RA.

I'd rather they remove Heroes from HA
but this is ok too, non-level-20's were not very common but still annoying as hell. that max-armor and attribute req should be implemented too, stupid PvE noobs who dont even know how to make a PvP char...

I wouldn't have agreed to this being a good thing though it will occasionally make me mad when I run into it in RA, until they moved everything to the Battle Isles and have made everything so obvious there that you need max character stats that those unable to create PvP characters or just too obstinate too are at least half way to noob on my watch. But yeah, I'm glad I no longer have to practice monking with the level eighteen Wa/Mo with armor from LA.

Yeah this is cool and all I guess. I'd rather them say sub level 20's cannot participate in PvP all together, considering...what's the point? Though the problem was most prevelant in RA, like Zui said it does happen in TA. Infact, I was with Zui when we kept running into the mentioned player. It was funny the first time, but it really took the fun out of it once we saw him like 5+ times.

Sub level 20s can still enter from Team Arenas, even without a team.
ANET, can you please DISABLE **ANYONE** from entering Team Areans without a FULL team of 4 players? Or disable anyone from entering Team Arenas without at least one other player...
Stopping sub level-20s from going in without a FULL team would be nice too, or stopping them from entering alltogether would be even better.

^ Guys the difference between RA and Aspenwood/quarry and TA is of course the fact that in RA/FA/JQ teams are random. If you have a lvl 19 in your TA team, you know that, you have chosen to let him in your team. In the random PvP areas, you haven't. That's now fixed for those areas, but I don't see anything to fix in TA...
EDIT - Fixed a lapsus

Allow me to explain:
People are able to stand in Team Arenas, and hit the "Enter Battle" button when they are not in a party, and they will be matched with any team in Team Arenas who is down a player(they can also be matched with other incompete teams/solo players hitting Enter Battle). People are able to do the same thing in groups of twos, and groups of threes.
Such a thing is not the case in Heroes' Ascent, or GvG. In GvG, if a player gets disconnected he's gone for good. In Heroes' Ascent, which is a mode of play more akin to Team Arenas in the fact you face multiple teams in a single run, and can continue to face teams until you finaly loose or quit, you simply get paired with a Henchie that trys to match up with the player you lost(although, this doesn't always work out correctly...). In Team Arenas, your replacement is almost always a very poor player whos Random Arenas team deserted him, or randomly hit Enter from Team Arenas so he can try and get to Heroes' Ascent and pay people to get him Fame for that Bambi to go along with his FoW armor and Sundering Crystalline Sword of Swordsmanship.
At one point in time, entering without a full team from Team Arenas wasn't possible, and it actualy acted like a reconnect feature. Err7? Form a team for the purpose of winning one game, then quitting out so you can be matched back with your original team. Works pretty nice when a guy err7s on game 9, and your team manages to pull through and win it...
---
Edit:
I should clarify that I realise teams that want to continue after the loss of a player should be able to get a replacement without having to do anything special. However, just like in RA, people who want to continue absolutly do not want a level 9 P/R with no concept of the game at all...

Yes, but in this case, the problem comes from the fact you don't need a full team to enter, and that's what needs to be fixed: either prevent players from entering unless they have a full team (as suggested in your 1st post) or replace a DCed player by a hench as in HA. But the problem doesn't come from the level cap. I mean: even if you prevent lvl 19- players from entering but keep the possibilty of entering alone, you will still have clueless people in your team if someone DC: they'll be lvl 20, but it doesn't mean they won't be clueless...

Agreed, but I dbout anet wants to change the system much at all. To be perfectly honest, I'd rather have them make it so that no one can enter solo, and not give people henchmen, which would allow people to get a player they *want* back into their team(via use of the 'trick' described in my previous post), or just encourage them to reform back in Team Arenas.
However, simply making it so level 19s and under can't enter prevents players from running massivley sub-par charactars from ever getting on a team. It's an easy fix, and is consistent with what was already done to three other modes of play that allow people to enter randomly so there really shouldn't need to be any kind of lengthy discussion about it over at ANET. Even though W/Mos with 170 attribute points could still enter, at least they're better than a level 9 paragon/ranger...

I don't see the problem here, if you are playing in TA have a full team of 4 and you'll never have this problem of some random person joining your group.
