Dervish/Elementalist Build
when i first got nightfall, i went through several build ideas to optimize the new class of Dervish. ive come down to elementalist and i have some ideas but i need suggestions. i like elementalist because i found interest in the idea of having armor near that of a warrior but with higher energy regen for more magical potential. ive been looking at a combination of Arcane Zeal and one of the Ele Attunements (fire, earth, lightning, water) with another 2 enchants to cut Ele spells down by 5 energy and another 30%. considering that idea, i was thinking about using a scythe over a staff because i wouldnt need a lot of energy bonuses from my weapon considering the dismal energy costs and theres a lot of nice adjacent Ele spells that would work nicely witha melee offense. like i said, i would need 2 other enchantments. one would likely be Mystic Regeneration with only 2 earth magic, giving me +8 health regen while i maintain my 4 enchantments. im still considering some things for my third enchant, though. i realize that a continuous +8 health regen is, although good, not enough for my defense. now between Armor of Sanctity and Stoneflesh Aura i can maintain a nice -35 to -40 dmg reduction, especially if i put extend enchantments on to increase their lasting times. but here's where i notice that sure, i can bomb my skill bar out with defensive skills and do well defensively, but wheres my attack? i also notice that i may be varying my attributes a little to far. then im liking the mark of rodgort idea with a fiery scythe to maintain a continuous -7 health degen along with immobilization. i could take advantage of the immobilization edge of my build to deliver some high dmg area attacks or simply to keep the healers in their place while i dwindle down their health. i took notice of a possible +17 fire dmg with a conjure spell in either fire, water, or lightning, but turned it down because the more i lean to a base attack offense, i reduce the purpous of having the lower energy costs. in conclusion, i have some things i want to keep and others i can get rid of. i want to keep Arcane Zeal and one of the Ele Attunements to optimize my casting abilities. other then that im free to make changes. i want some suggestions on good attack, any of the Ele spells are prefered to fit into the energy cost reduction. im still considering using a staff because i dont see a lot of offensive potential in scythe mastery, simply doesnt impress me. so feedback on that would be nice. also any good defensive ideas to go with this idea are appreciated. i guess im feeding off of the tank/aoe spiker idea, but am willing to try most anything.
thanks for your time.

Paragraphs, paragraphs
I you wanna use ele skill so bad, I'd definitely take Conjure Flame over Mark of Rodgort, because it has a lower energy cost, higher DPS when you hit multiple ppl or under IAS. It also doesn't need to be cast on your target up front.
IMO a fire elementalist will always be superior to a D/E who tries to be a fire ele. This applys to most professions. The only exeptions I can think of are R/W thumpers, and to a certain extend E/Mo's with Eprod and heal party

yeah but the idea isnt to be better then an ele, the point is to have better armor then casters so taht i can be upclose and act somewhat like a tank using melee attack and aoe or adjacent spells. the idea was i could cast spells repeatedly becuase most skills would cost me very minimal amounts and if i wanted i could use glowing gaze and actualy receive about 7 energy. im trying to icorporate the higher defense of a dervish with the power of an ele to make a defensive spiker or something like that.
