The way I look at the build is that it is really no different from the 2 monk, 2 paragon build metagame. It shuts down one broken energy engine by combining roaring winds with vocal minority and then proceeds to slam monks in the face with QZ, scourge healing, spoil victor, mark of subversion, and scourge enchantment only to take hold of the altar with another broken energy engine that uses 5 necros taking advantage of 2 team members dropping spirits and having them die perpetually on top of the minions dying perpetually.
At least this build has desire to deal damage between reapers mark, spoil victor, soul barbs, minions, and shoving death novas in the opponents face. That is more than can be said of the paragon build.
It was stated that the OP had the build from [ftl] incorrect and that the blood ritual is supposed to be an infuse. Did the OP make an error having NR on the ranger's bar? If not, then how is this spirit used? Offensively (against opposing monks) or strictly defensively while holding? I am really having trouble seeing the purpose of NR in such a hex heavy build.

To be honest, there's no compairing a build like this to the two paras two monks holding build. Sure, when you word it a certain way it may seem there are a bit of similarites. However, this build is much more complicated to run, and r0 scrubs wouldn't be able to grasp it. Any noob can spam energizing finale on their monk, just like anybody can spam heal party with healing boon + energizing finale on them. However, with this build you have actually have to have a bit of skill and logic to run it well.

Agreed. There are the obvious issues of selecting the right targets for the spoil victor at the right time. Reaper's mark actually kind of works agains the function of spoil victor at times, because one skill drives health ever downward while the other requires that the hex target have higher health than others they are using spells/attacks on.
Still, there is no denying that at the core both this build and the paragon build are designed to make energy issues non-existant for casters. In the case of the paragon build, this unlimited energy is used for defensive altar holding purposes only. In the case of the necro build, the excess energy is used primarly for offense/shutdown, but there are two necros that get to put this energy toward ritualist and monk healing/prot skills.

The NR is for SOMW spikes, its like a shotgun to the face against those spikes when NR goes up.

I know we didnt kill any, but the build we had was a holding build and was a lil modded, so we hadnt much damage output to begin with.

Yup thats mostly how we use it to annoy SOMW spike and to disrupt the Soul barbs/Recurring build that has some simularity's with our build we dont use it often but it can be very helpful in certain situations. We actually like to use Gaze of contempt vs somw spike then wait to put NR down usually they can only spike once all game in the opening run in.

He replaced a KEY skill in the build with a skill that was useless he deserved a flame IMO you cant sac yourself to death to get a key profane up on altars so you can kill a ghost with a blood ritual now can you? or even do it vs a SOMW spike and strip all those enchants it takes too long and its touch range and easy to interupt this is key in our strategy on occasions. Not to mention you dont need blood rituals in a build that is full of energy for everyone because of minion saccing. The bottom line is he thought it was a good idea to put in the build without understanding the idea of the build, its quite clear you dont understand why i flamed him for it either.

Guess you missed the fact over the weekend on more than 2 or 3 occasions our groups held more than 10 times in peak EU hours usually the buisiest hours for HA. Sunday alone there was 18 consec holds at one point but who cares anyway right?.

If you all look at the timestamps for some of the posts in this thread 3-4 of them appear in a few minutes this happened as basically a guild joke while waiting for a paraway vs heroway to finish on scarred earth i.e. bored guildies having a laugh on vent etc. you also need to realise that a number of the guild are not good at written english either. No real offense was meant here some people have just taken our messing around in the wrong way, i apologize if anyone was offended by how we "gang-banged the OP".

I'm glad to see that [Swim] remade. God knows what I would do without you cocky ass motherf*ckers acting like you own hall of heroes. Great job, you held halls with a cheap ass build, fun, but cheap. You're no different than [cc], [gank], and whoever else ran one stupidly cheap build with success and think they can talk shit because they "own" halls.
Great f*cking job you held 18 consec against heroway and w/r ele aftershock spike. The shit's not hard, who hasn't held for 15+ consec at the sad state the current HA is in.
The build isn't that hard to run, sure it takes some coordination, but what build doesnt? (no iway pun please)

All you did was jack off your e-peen. Get a clue, no one really cares "who" invented the build, its not that good anyway. It seems more like IWAY, seeing as lately I havent seen anyone using this build actually hold halls.

Uggh, comment on the build. Don't go around shamelessly promoting your guild because no one really cares.
If math TM'd IWAY they'd be rich.
