Scizzors-Vapor Blade Spike
No im not joking
I was experimenting with builds and just thought id come up with a holding build that no1 else has though of yet... (i dont think)
Hasnt been tested fully, it has the potential to counter most builds.

Ok, I'll start it off.
Doubt your spike can sufficiently kill. Enchantments will constantly be reapplied if they see your build. The damage will be severely lowered against warriors, rangers, paragons, and dervishes. Vapor blade, at a 2 second cast will die miserably to CG rangers and Cry mesmers. Decent holding power, and very defensive. Get some more offensive utility.

I ran a Vapor Blade spike with ToRe a while back, and I've seen it done in 8v8 once before.
Anyway, the spike is amazing if you can pull it off cleanly, it's just a hard spike to pull off. The main problem was enchantment removal... even something inane like channeling will kill the spike. With Gaze having a 20 second recharge, I doubt you will get many clean spikes off, and I can't imagine how you'd beat a Mystic Wrath spike.
Still, I like the idea... maybe I'll try it again.

Good point, except for the fact that nobody runs either in 6v6.

As for your after-spike, it might not work because of the half range condition. I'd love to test it out

i think its funny that you only have one hex removal in your build. If i where you drop it out whats the point?

A vapor blade spike needs someone with shatter storm. There is only one hex in the build (blurred vision) and at 15 energy and a long recharge and hex removals being cheaper than 15 energy you may as well not have any hexes at all.
Make someone use the shatter storm elite and dump gaze of contempt and your build instantly becomes better than it was before.

Most definitely Shatter Storm. Shatterstone if used on a spike would completely give it away, and it's useless for random pressure in this build. It's reasonable to expect ~2 enchantments at any one time on a target; possibly some pre-prot and something like Channeling or an Attunement. Shatter Storm recharges in 14s in that case, which is decent.
You definitely need a better way to remove enchants; a full spike for your necro costs Thirty. Five. Energy. Talk about prohibitive.
imho the HA meta is ripe for something like this. Nobody really brings caster hate anymore, you're unlikely to run into somebody who's going to try to shut you down.
I think you might run into another problem... Your spike isn't strong enough. A caster with all minors, a sup vigor, +60HP staff, survivor armor, and 10% morale boost is nearing 700 health... (688 iirc, iono). If you don't get the second 50dmg from shadowstrike, you're sitting at 685 for the initial spike which is pushing it. Aftercast included would be enough ofc.
And one last thing... Alot of people throw random interrupts on their X/Me heros
