Is ressurection chant still worth worth it on a me/mo or does the the distortion nerf mean we all want glyph sac e/mo ressurection now?
On an illusion mesmer i can still see it work but on a dom mesmer i don't think its worth it any more tbh, or is it possible to counter with bringin a +40% heal set?

It's hard to say. I started to think it was pointless to carry because 1) Good teams won't let you get it off, distortion of not. 2) If we were out of Sigs and someone died, it was almost always a monk and a retreat would be called which doesn't leave me time to stand around for 8 or so seconds and hard res.

I suppose a hard res gives your team that warm fuzzy feeling of comfort, but I cringe putting Chant on my mesmer.

If you can fit it on an Ele with Glyph Sac, that is by far the best place for it.

With fast casting it's only 4 seconds

I don't know any Mesmers that put 16 into Fast Casting for GvG. I should have said 5.5-6 seconds, but I was at work and too lazy to get the actual figures.

Meh, I usually assume 9 is the cut-off point for 1/2 time. I know it's not, it's easier to calculate

rez chant is only a bit slower than rez sig, and is still worth it in gvgs if everyone is out of sigs

The problem with the res-chanting mesmer is that a Me/Mo on the other team screams "Hard Res." Once you've depleted your sigs you know you just have to interrupt that guy after you get a kill and the other team will break.

GlyphSac + Res on the ele is different, because it's not feasable to interrupt. So long as you're not letting them get more than one kill every 30 seconds or so, it's possible to avoid breaking with this combo.

As JR said, a glyph of sac hard res is better then the res chant, but you cant always fit in a glyph of sac emo, where mo hard res is always on a me/mo that needs it because you can just take out a res sig. With new ideas and new skill combos like Glyph of Sac+Met shower and glyph of sac+rodgorts+searing flames, glyph of sac is easier to fit in and bring.

Definatly the fasted option besides sac/chant, but i find it becomes a bit of a liability if you get DP on that mesmer.

On a side note do you run a 40/40 rest set on that mesmer or is that overkill considering it's only 3,55 second cast on 9FC mesmer?

Run an FC set and switch into it exclusively to cast the resses. It helps.

Agreed.

And with the increasing popularity of Mesmer interrupts like Power Return, we have actually started experimenting with Mantra of Concentration on our Me/Mo (our current build doesn't have a flag E/Mo). Distortion saves you from the previously very popular Ranger interrupts, but Concentration seems to help a lot more in getting hard resses off at the moment.

A lot of people are bringing Signet of Return on Paragons for hard res, which is a decent alternative, considering it is a signet and has less interrupts to bother it.

Yea it is a nice option, but 15 second recharge hurts. If it gets interrupted, you are going to have a long wait.

Having played a Migrane Me yesterday with a 40/40 set i must say that usually its quickest to start casting and cancel and cast again if its not fast. I got three people back up - (don't ask it was the catepault) very quickly.

I think you have to run a hard res somewhere and not all teams can fit a E/Mo in. So its the only logical place to put it really...
