This would make it easier to read. I was a bit taken back by the damage and pressure they put down.

OH NOES! I forgot how to split and my team likes to clusterup in choke points.
I think this build is just indicitive of the poor quality of players running around, so grats to them for farming bad players.

Lack of two monk backline and 7 softies makes it very vulnerbale. It all depends on who gets hit first, them or the eles.
This build is basically a farming build with almost no protection. They spike one target instead of getting on different targets to activate ToF.
My guild tried this and lost to top 300 guilds due to lack of security. So if you lose to this, then its really your own fault, not Anet's. People wanted Ele's to do heavy amounts of damage because that was their main role as Mages. Anet gives them what they want, and people flame Anet for making a ''powerful'' skill, just cause they can't beat it...

You do realize that the paragon has Ele Attune so the eles can Arcane Mimicry it off of him, thereby getting Double Attune, AoR, and the SF+GG combo.
Lots of energy and health.

Of course he doesnt, or he wouldn't have made such a fool of himself. I couldn't get a gvg together and a friend asked me to guest. I soon found out this was the build, basically. The guild went from 3k earlier in teh day and around 1k when I guested to 500 or so by teh time we left. We lost two games with err 7s and one to a rank 80 something guild with a very similar idea(6 e/a searing flames, 2 monks). We also tanked some 1200 rating guild, running the basic shadowstep spike that spammed the word "Integrity" on chat after losing.
Basically, we maimed just about everything we fought and didn't even need to be on vent the strat calling was so simple(once we had to fall back to rape the base gankers since we were on burning and SF immediately set off on the gankers in the lava pits.)
I won't call it a good build because its a lame farmer build. But I would expect to see a lot of it in the next couple days.
P.S. Since I was running flag, can I pull the "I am just running flags for a lame build" quote and absolve myself of the shame?

As much as people might QQ bout the builds spearmen run, they are actually a very nice group of guys. Not to mention what they do does bring high exposure to imbalanced skills (ie. D/mo).

Fix the formatting in the first post.
I've never had any personal issues with the Spearmen, but I was definitely QQing during our match with them today. They broke at the stand and turtled at 8 minutes while we gradually dropped every NPC in their base, then they camped their lord until 25. We couldn't finish the job because the bases in Jade Isle are really small and confined, so at 25 they just came out and died. 17 minutes of assaulting a turtled opponent just sucks, especially when you constantly have to run in and out to not get blown up by SF.
As for the build itself, it's only really effective on Jade or Burning Isle where you can't split. Would probably rock on Nomad's too. I think it's more the fault of how GvG handles map choice than anything else - if these teams couldn't rely on getting their home isle against anyone good, they'd be a lot easier to cope with.

Well, since our ex-guildmate Accutane has so nicely put our janky build out there, allow me to elaborate.
All of the eles run Dual-Attunes to drop Searing Flames down to a 2 energy cost skill, and then we arcane-echo it so it's available every second. The net result is we can hit Searing Flames constantly for 20 seconds without waiting and without even needing Glowing Gaze unless we really want to while keeping our energy pretty high. Since a typcical SF Ele can realisticly go once every 5 seconds under normal energy and burst to once every 2.5 seconds or so for a short time, we are hitting the team with a constant flow of SF from six eles, so we are really doing the damage of 12 normal SF ele's in the same window of a traditional build. In a large percentage of matches the opposing team is wiped in a few seconds, and we can camp their rez shrine and blast them all to Oblivion when they rez at the 2 minute mark. GG, 3 minute match, your guild Lord is dead, thanks for the faction.
We can also use it as a spike that refreshes every second, so on difficult teams we can pressure all targets and still spike every few seconds without stopping the damage output.
The Paragon uses some cute defensive shouts like They're On Fire and Stand your Ground for some nice damage reduction - enough that the Aura of Restoration, which is healing us 55 health for every SF cast, is normally more than enough healing to combine with the reduced damage from their attackers that we only needed 1 monk, thus allowing for even MORE damage.
There are some OVBIOUS weaknesses to our build and we know it. I found it remarkable that several teams were running multiple Melandru's Dervishes and Frigid Armor on every single character making it basically impossible to set them on fire and therefore completely eliminating our damage. That's the price for playing a gimicky build - some you can win and some you lose before the match even started.
Some teams are able to play footsie games and start splitting and running around, but like everything else our damage is multiplied at VOD. If we are unable to deal with the split presented to us then we really have no choice but to turtle and try and blast out with our Guild Lord next to us. Many matches have been won like that - nothing like 6 Eles with echoed copies of SF to clear out the flagstand at VOD!!
I for one simply can't stand the high and mighty attitude some of the top teams who whine and complain if anyone DARES to run anything but a balanced build in GvG. The last time I checked there was 1 rule - KILL THE GUILD LORD. I don't remember reading anywhere in the rules where it says I have to take 3 melee from colum A, 2 memsers from Column B, 1 Runner from Column C and a Utility Class. Balanced builds are just as FOTM as any gimmick and I see every "top" team running the same skills mach after match. I can't help but laugh at the irony when a team running Steady Stance Fear Me warriors, RaO Bunny Thumpers, 2 Diversion Mesmers, a FlashBot and a Water runner starts ripping on US for running a FOTM!! HAHAHA what do you think you are running dude?
The Spearmen have become somewhat infamous for breaking the game over the last year and I for one am proud to be a part of that phenomenon. Whether it's a Flesh Golem factory, D/Mo's, Arcane SF Eles we keep coming up with phenomal builds that really push the skill system to the limits and we have no intention of changing. Now that we have cleaned up some of our trash (see first poster) we do have some openings so if you want to be a part of the Spearmen phenomenon, feel free to drop by our website and post up an application: http://spearmen.onlyhell.com/forums
I can tell you there is absolutely nothing that matches being a Spearmen. Not a match goes by in GvG or HA where the other team doesn't already know us, know of us, or hate us. Good or bad, everyone has something to say about Spearmen. Please be on the lookout for other game-breaking builds and skill nerfs caused by yours truley and my other outstanding guild members.
MiteeThor - proud officer in The Spearmen

Well, when it comes to that i actually liked Spearmen before, then i noticed you guys run copycutter builds just like everyone else. If you're not exploiting some bug like Flesh Golem factory, or obviously flawed builds during the beta events (DMo, and mind you, it's called *beta* event with a reason) your originality suddenly hits near zero.
Dont mention HA, it's a farming arena, like troll cave in PvE.
As for GvG, where is your originality? Searing Flame eles? Wow i didnt see that yet. So instead of chocolate SF build you run chestnut flavor. Mmm yeah.
When are Spearmen gonna use original GvG build? Or half-original? I dont like balanced either i think they are overrated, but any original build will do. Sure i dont watch every match of yours, but whenever i see it, you're running the same copycutter builds out there.
