I'd have to say my most notable kick ever was being kicked for wanting to use my pve character in pvp. The guild leader said if anyone was caught on a pve character without direct permission or between strict times, they would be kicked. Fun times were had by all. The leader also said that until we can win and hold halls consecutive times, we weren't permissed any GvG.
Soon after I was kicked several of the members that I was good friends with while in the guild considered leaving, and were kicked because of it. We formed Save The Dolyaks [NUKE] and recruited members based on friendships from past guilds etc. Squidget was given leadership as the tactician of the time and I guess I can't deny we've grown.
Moral of the story:

The lesson to learn:
Less Q_Q, more *PewPew*. Oh and uh... it's good a lot of the time to roam around, meet people. Don't yell noob at everyone you see, make friends and you've extended your chances of meeting someone out there that has ties to what could be a great guild.
A major mishap with a lot of higher ranked guilds, and lower ones, even- You get kicked from the guild rather than getting the bench seat to learn and improve on. It's definately detrimental to the guild if you're kicked rather than benched, depending on how many strong, core members there are. If they're kicking someone who could one day be an excellent player, their core members (the gvging ones...) may one day find that they don't have enough, and you won't be there to prove your worth or complete their team.

I wouldn't actually care too much about being kicked from a rank 1200 guild :\
Those silly PvE guilds that try to gvg often have some funny requirements and weird habits in gvg. I've guested with some of them.
I've guested for everything from grab and go henchie way with no vent/TS, to those crazy ones where one guy (the "leader"<-notice quotes) feeds crap builds to 7 other players and rages if they bring something else or don't play the part right.

Powerplay/dirtyplay to oppose critics is not only taking place in real life. Most likely it is even more common to exert powerplay in a virtual world as consequences are near zero. I have met some ugly stuff out there, fortunately not too much in our guild.

Ah I remember those days. I was one of the ones kicked for condidering leaving.
On a side note, they did eventualy win halls. The guy leading the group (not the leader of the guild) is now a member of NUKE.

Losing is always a team effort.
As a noobish Warrior, you could've overextended too much (out of the Monk range), not used your HealSig enough (wasting their energy), etc. I did that when I was starting out, since that's what every W does in PvE...
It could've been your attitude, too. Someone who whines and complains about other people after GvGs is usually the first to get kicked. Or should be.
And of course there's always a chance that some ass just kicked the entire memberlist too... that's happened to some of my guilds before.

Honestly, i wouldnt worry about it. if they throw you on something that you dont ever play and not even ask anything about your playstyle or if you play mid, front, or backline, then they pretty much set themselves up for failure anyway, and since they didnt want to admit that they were dumb and made a bad decision, they just took it out on the new guy.

Getting booted isn't the end of the world. Gives you a chance to find a better place to play, and finding a guild higher than r1200 shouldn't be overly difficult.

It seems like you just got the short end of the stick for a band of noobs that had delusions of granduer about climbing the ladder. Anyway, guilds get good when the SAME people learn to play and coordinate together. Any guild who kicks someone without making some effort to raise them as part of the team is doomed for failure. Why be sad? I would be happy knowing that they would soon crumble.
This game is supposed to be fun and to me its not even about losing or winning, its about learning and enjoyment. Good guilds don't kick people for simple mistakes or a bad game, they find out why they lost and prevent a repeat of history. That guild that kicked you was a steaming piece of crap anyway. Consider yourself saved from apocalypse.
Lets face it, guilds like that are like the blue painted guys from the new mel gibson movie. First one head comes rolling down the temple stairs. You can expect to see the whole body tumbling down soon after.

People usually LOVE to blame the monks for a lost. For example, I got kicked and so did the other monk after a lost, but this was the leader's fault. We were facing this heavy pressure team and the leader decided to rush the other team's base at the beginning although our build was not meant for it. We were in their base for 20 mins. and we couldn't hold out for that long against a pressure team inside their base so they started getting some kills. The leader was dumb enough to let the other team's gank team kill our lord within the time and did nothing about it even knowing that they had sent gankers.

QFT. Absolutely. One of the best points I've seen anyone make yet in this thread.

getting kicked is never fun. here's my sorry excuse of a story:
recently, my old guild added two more (yes, two more out of almost 26 gvgers) to the team. unfortunately, they had never played much pvp before, and it became quite apparent. i tried to teach them some fundamentals of gvg (kiting, to start with), but they were not ... well, all that eager to learn. told me to mind my business and they were playing for fun only. i, of course, being the huge carebear that i am, insisted on teaching them, although i was not particularly nice about it. the resulting ragefest earned me a big foot to the butt. i guess the team valued quantity over quality. getting booted in favour of two egotistic newbies is never fun.
i guess the only consolation is that the guild have fallen completely off of the ladder. oh yeah, and the ability to freely member for any pug guild.

Maybe you should look more carefully over all guild forums for a place you are more likely to fit in. Joining guilds that spam that are nice and friendly might not be the best solution because you don't get to know their background. The place you were from had no substance anyways, you shouldn't take a poison and kill yourself because of that, but do mentaly check their complaints and see if they really didn't point something you didn't notice. For now, IQ's recruitment forum section is a good place for you.
This makes me wonder about two sides in gw: the botton guilds arrogancy, and the top guilds intolerance. I kinda miss those old times our bars were not refined at all, we used stuff like h.breeze in monks, no one used protection prayers often, flag runners just erm.. ran and nothing else, those times were really fun. You could actually make mistakes; now the scenario just won't allow a single one.
