Mesmer with a Necro secondary. Any ideas?
Okay, Mesmers and Necros have the highest number of degen, slowdown, weaken, and general tantrum causing skills in the game. With this many ways to make a player cry, surely there is something of value in them. Yet I rarely see any Me/N. So, any ideas about how to make a great Me/N?
Also, i recently tried a energy spike, health drain build that I think has merit in concept. Unfortunalely, I suck at making a build, so ideas for that concept specifically would be greatly apreciated.
Here is my build (please be kind):
(interupts spell and causes so much damage, cant remember the name)
energy burn
energy spike
drain enchantment
desecrate enchantments (i think)
vampiric gaze
Blood renewal
Res Sig

ESurge is a good mesmer build, although it's not particularly self-sufficient, which is a priority in AvA. The core of the build is:
Mind Wrack
ESurge
EBurn
Signet of Weariness
You can add to that pretty much anything you like, but some energy management would be good. Leech sig and power drain come to mind... and if you're running weariness and leech, you might as well branch out into signets more and run Sig of Humility + Mantra of Inscriptions, which would recharge all 3 of your signets.
Migrane mesmer is another nice build:
Migrane + Conjure Phantasm will put 8 degen on your target. Images of remorse is also good to max out on degen. Bring some interrupts to take advantage of migrane. Power return is especially good - the extra energy won't benefit them if they can't cast spells. Against melee characters, clumsiness, distortion and spirit of failure are good defensive options.
Also, why do you have a res sig on your bar in alliance battles...?

You should try looking at the Frag Spike Best Me/N build I've found and I use it everywhere.

Agreed. If you can get the Frag Spike completely off, can take out just about anyone. I'm using a Virulence spiker at the moment. The conditions spike up, and then spike down real quick (put 0 in death, so it's a 3 second spike).

SB/RI spike and frag spike are good all-purpose cheese.
Although in AB, N/Me often works better because soul reaping goes nuts.
