Isle of Solitude Bug
I hope this is the right forum, first of all.
It seems that the Bodyguards in Isle of the Solitude don't heal the Guild Lord when he is being attacked. This experience came firsthand when we faced a guild with a Sliver Armor Ele/Dervish. The Guild Lord kept taking damage from Sliver Armor but the Bodyguard never once used Oath of Healing on him. It seems that the distance between the two NPCs is too great.
Anyone else have this problem? Or ever encountered it?

Yeah, we lost to it today, didn't notice until it was too late. The bug exists on both bases as far as I know.

FINALLY, someone posted it. My old guild lost to this bug/exploit (yes, it is an exploit, as the guild that chose the hall uses it to thier advantage, the hint being that they don't bother to take down the bodygaurd.)
Anet, if you come across this thread, please fix it. Also, could you put the attacking teams bodygaurd in a place where he can't be attacked from outside the gate? All they need to do is Mesmer spike the bodygaurd while locked out and instant death. Very irratating when the other team can't even do that.

Ok guys, thanks for the replies. I'm glad it's not just happening to us ><"
Our guild leader sent a ticket to ANet about it, so we'll just have to see when they fix it...

Would any of those losses be to, say, a guild with a tag of [CDD] (not mentioning any specific names, just so you know...)? Just to know if they're repeated exploiters so that perhaps ANet can do something about them...
But yea, I can tell they knew about it ahead of time. The Ele didn't even try to get to the Bodyguard. He went straight to the GL...

The glitch is effected by both bases.
My guild lost to it once last night and almost a second time in the same night.
Pretty lame bug because if your in the other teams base, and you dont see the other team sneak out people through the teleporter, your monks probably won't get back in time before the guild lord dies after your team sees "Guild Lord Under Attack".

So...is it one specific guild doing it or something? So that ANet might be able to do something...
The guild we faced was [CDD] (just so I don't release any names).
But yea, we were caught off guard, as we expected the Bodyguard to do something...

Phoenix was our runner (Mo/E). He was with the rest of the team at the time, but I'm not entirely sure why. It really sucked to lose that game, especially when we had them in their base for most of the game.

It used to be that the red side's (and not the blue side's) Guild Lord could be attacked from outside the base as well (of course, the Bodyguard could heal then). The "fix" was the placement that we see now, where both bodyguards are accessible from below, but neither are in range to heal the Guild Lord. Until it gets fixed, we play it like a feature of the map and are extra paranoid about backdoor ganks on this map. The funny thing is, the old GL placement was an advantage for certain teams because red could heal its GL without returning to base. As it stands now, though, if the other team doesn't deal with the Bodyguard, a Mo/A can open the front gate and Return to the Bodyguard to defend the GL.
Another thing we noticed recently during a scrim, however, is that the Archers are placed a little differently on each side, meaning that the attacking side needs to take down an extra Archer on a back gank before it gets a clean shot at the Guild Lord.

Actually, I was near the flag stand and their Mo/E was capping the flag. No one else was getting the Mo/E so I didn't know what to do with the flag I had, so I capped the stand since I didn't want to just drop the flag...
But the lack of a dead Bodyguard really caught me off guard...if I knew he was dead or that he wouldn't do anything then I would've rushed to the GL...
