Pre-factions I used to run into them on occasion, they ran a wicked hex-spam pressure, that our standard balanced build couldn't usually overcome. The metagame is much different now, and they likely haven't cared enough to keep up with it.

[Eat]. I fought them like 5 times last night, it was annoying because they were the only people we lost to, which made sense, but yeah.

Back on topic, [TA], [DBD], [DTS], [Ae], and [Eat] are all good TA guilds. From what I here, [DTS] dominates Euro server TA.
Fun times with [TA] though, running IWAY in TA as a joke for 29 consecutive was definately a memorable experience and we definately received a lot of hate.
[DPS] is good at TA as long as that nub Valkier doesn't play
|
[DTS]? Never heard of them and i play TA all day with my guild [RezQ] they're r3/4+ Gladiators so i was like " WTF j00 Go7 Teh Glad Titel!11 ".
Well im going for my rank 1 Gladiator title now : ) And it goes faaaast. 10 points per day, hmm not bad, lol.
GG, Jessica
PS: We also run NR/Tranq, so watch it

It's kind of sad when you can count the gg's you get after running NR/Tranq on one hand

10 points per day? Would that mean you started going for your glad title like what...yesterday? A day ago?

[Vis] Hasn't been TA'ing because I havn't been around for a month+
I was the creator of the pressure build we run (same build Fish and QQ use), and I'm also the one that pushes the guild to TA.
*sigh* at nr/tranc tho
We don't lose to it, it's just the only match that ends up being longer than 2 minutes.

I saw TA about 6 times in a matter of 30 min the other day in TA. They beat us everytime, and were very nice people to talk to. Even got the gg's and everything.

We had a wonderfull fight with [EaT] yesterday
both teams consisting of a mesmer, a warrior, a monk and a flashbot. We were a full guild team and managed to win . Was very annoying though, our flash swears by windborne over draw, and our monk wasnt on TS, so I jsut kept trying to call spikes upon blindness ending and we eventually won

ah yes I remember the match, we were testing out a potential recruit for the guild and using some of our gvg builds which consisted of a boon, a water ele with BF, mesmer and shock axe he was a friend of JR's I believe, and testing out on the axe.

If that was the guy I am thinking of, I didn't even know who he was. He was just looking for a guild, and I remembered you guys were recruiting so I figured he was probably pretty decent and sent him your way. Apologies if he was terrible!
I also need to TA more, I don't even have first level Glad title yet...

There seems to be some confusion here. [EaT] is a European HA/GvG guild named Melted Chocolate Bunnies. [Eat] is a GvG/TA guild named Flying Fortune Cookies. So many people in TA have called us Melted Chocolate Bunnies and it frustrates me a bit. The same type of frustration I used to have when I led There Is No Cow Level [cow] back in April and May before I disbanded it and every team we ran into in HA would say "yes there is" thinking it was a Diablo II reference when it fact it was a reference to a Starcraft cheat code.
[Eat] has been doing TA less and less these days as we are really starting to enjoy GvG so much more. Our main purposes for doing TA these days are to try out potential recruits (individual skill level and class proficiency can really be seen here), to test out new builds and skill interactions, and to just unwind after the more intense GvG matches.

Feel free to join us on our runs. We have 5 or more different builds that seem to work well at the moment which actually cover all 8 of the primary classes (though we have personal distaste for the one that has a ritualist), so there would certainly be some choice in what you get to play. You were wondering how NR could work well in TA...we could show you as we have 2 different NR builds.

Lol, that explains a lot, don't do that anymore :P. Msg me any time though for some TA, we almost always have 3 guildies on who'd be glad to form up with you.

It was Sno's [EaT] we fought (Me and Lady), as I remember his name. And could any of you tell the mesmer not to divert my Blinding Flash the next time? thanks
Was a great game, the only nice one of that night really, others were kind of bad.

ah, well in that case, no, no he was not very good...
and, as stated earlier, no we don't ta much anymore, maybe get in a good 3 runs a night, but now that the ladder is frozen we may get around to a bit more, I only need 50 more points for 6 tier glad so I may as well get grinding again.
Last night we had 2 great matches against BC running an NR build while we ran a standard balance (2 mes, 1 war, 1 monk); using gvg style tactics to wear them down and eventually beat them.

GvG style tactics is short-hand for running around a lot to get them in a spot where one of them could be adrenal spiked out (from Sirlin's divide and conquer article). Since our only snares were short term (no hex or condition snares) like gale, bull's strike, and shock, this took a while but it was our only option to win when we were outbuilded so badly.

[Eat], lower case t... It can't be that hard to see :/ It doesn't seem like a big deal (and in truth, really isn't at all...) but there are several higher ranked guilds with similar tags, such as Lame and lame, both in top 100 (although Lame is considerably higher on the ladder.)

I like running builds like this, the TA meta will really punish running balanced, but with good communication it's generally possible to beat almost all teams with it, although it will take a long time on some matches. It's much more gratifying to win a match against a team that has you out-builded than to simply own them in 45 seconds with 2 assassins. Most of the teams don't get a chance to show us their build before they're all dead, it's comical.

GORILLA RAPE lawl love seeing that
I think GW needs to do something about tags, I hate seeing fake tags. In fact, it makes me sad to say that my tag is LEET, but I'm not a Squirrel. I'm not sure if the leader even knows we have the same tag as a top guild. It's a shame to see.
