Even at 16 communing this skill only disables foes skills for 16 seconds. For a 25 energy elite and 30 second recharge I think the duration needs a serious buff. This skill could have some interesting uses in PvP if it just had a little more bang.

It's a spike stopper. When the first spell hits, it disables it for all party members, making their casts fail. Too bad that there are so few caster spikes out there. Also the fact that it's 25e kinda kills it.

The 25 energy indeed kills the skill. I however think it would be more effective stopping things like Diversion spam, Bsurge etc than stopping a caster spike. If it remains the current disable it surely needs to be reduced in energy and recharge. Perhapse 10-15 energy and 15 sec recharge.

I think you want to use Infuse if they're getting spiked.. kind of like [wiki]Judge's Intervention[/wiki], lol.

It could be kind of useful in some situations but I would take a bazillion other elites instead of this.

Actually against pure caster spikes this would be more effective than infuse because all the casts exept one fail.
That's not nearly enough to warrant either the cost or the slot though.

If you can predict the spike. And if you can predict the spike, you can just cast Spirit Bond or PS.

It's a nifty concept, but the risk is just too high. And I wouldn't say caster spike is rare, rit spike and icy veins spike have been trashing halls the past few days.
