StP will face Revive Teammates [rezz], who are rank 23
Well, guess it's our mistake to enter a world championship with a #240 guild.

well aslong as your prepared for a split on frozen i wouldnt give up against rezz, i havent seen them try anything else this season.
And the mantra of flame thing isnt a joke, either that or frigid armour, what else would you run against a guild that has played nothing but 6SF eles for the last 2 seasons.

i'll give my eternal and utmost respect to any guilds which can pull off a successful gimmicky build this upcoming tourney and they will be added in the guilds that I respect in guildwars.
1) War Machine
2) iQ
3) Neo Team
4) (hopefully your guild(s) here)
goodluck to all the participants.

Well at least you get to play at 19.00gmt. Our first pairing is with an american guild, who only agreed to play on the fallback time... 3AM GMT on a tuesday morning. I see our henchmen warming up right now.

Bit of advice needed:
We have to play some americans. Fallback time is perfect primetime for them (9pm) and impossible for us (3/4am). I've no idea why it was set like that, but whatever.
They're saying that the best they can do is knock one hour off the fallback (so 2/3am for us), which really doesn't make it any easier to get a team considering work/school/etc the next morning.
So what do we do? We're currently at r22, and would like to think we have a good chance of the last 16 at least. But as it stands, we're going to have to forfeit in the very first round because the fallback time has been set to massively favour our (unranked) opposition.
Play with the couple of people who can get up in the middle of the night, and henchies? (and even vs unranked, with henchies, probably lose and go out)
Just forfeit the match and forget the tournament?
Whine to a-net about the fallback time not being fair and hope they do something? (although what they could do, I don't know, as it's really too late to change the time now)

I think it's going to take a higher-ranked teams forfeiting to get A-Net to listen to anyone.
Maybe.

we had to fight at 3 am also as the american guild wouldnt agree to another time, we managed to just about field 8 people (only because of holidays and weekend) and the matches were over in ~ 5 min both times, but if we have to face another i dont think we'll be able to get full 8 people. good job mage hench is strong.

We got exactly the same problem, the fall-back time is biased for american players, why should we have to forfeit games against american pve guilds who are only in the event for a transforming potion.

We're facing an Austalian team and it's exactly the reverse: the fallback time is primetime for them (9pm) and impossible for us (1am/4am). The fallback time should be equally difficult for both teams, OR be hidden until a day before the actual time so that until then people would make an honest effort to meet in the middle.
Be sure to send an email to Mike @ anet voicing your disappointment that you were handed a loss for the first round, and that the system must be improved for the following rounds, or cross-continental guild matches will always be forfeits.
EDIT: Our matched guild has, in fact, been reasonable and we found a time that's difficult but works for both sides (5am Pacific/12am Australian).

The whole organisation of fallback times is completely retarded, idiot guilds can just use it to gain free wins from people who they know wont be able to field a team, and i think the official a-net response is 'try to be reasonable'.

Epic should've done it to EW just to set an example, too bad Benson is a nice guy. Instead we're 0-1. Stupid esoteric warriors and their stupid balanced builds.

I'm speculating round two pairings will reverse the fallback time such that it favours the other guild. All the guilds that said screw you, you can play the fallback time are going to get the same treatment back.
