I just love all of these post reminiscing about how "perfect" Halls used to before evil anet started making alll of these changes" Yeah I think we all remember how "great" it was. 4 minute interrupt fests ... holding builds with 2 ps/choking rangers ... oh look it's the 6987th iway team I've fought today, great at least it's not another blood spike....
How DARE evil Anet try to introduce any changes (shudder)...
They may not get it right on the first try ... but I give them alot of credit for trying to make things better and working through the problems...

Thanks for the sarcasm, but its not needed. I never mentioned that halls was perfect before. I mentioned that it was fine the way it was needing no change at all. A side note letting you know, if IWAY was that much of a problem to you, leading you to post here about it. I suggest you dont post here.

....and the people you chose to attack ended up being double teamed. Ive thought this out and there is no solution to this problem.

There is no excuse for not be able to cap in four minutes against seeking arrows rangers, you need to look at what you are doing wrong if you had this problem, 4 minutes is an eternity in game time.

The fact they are trying out new things AND seeking feedback says wonders. People cried out for 8v8 and it came (albeit for a short time). People wondered why polls about HA were not in forums dedicated towards it and now we have a poll here on guru. It may be taking longer than we hoped and had a few setbacks (kill count, rit spike) but I feel we are getting closer to a better HA and not farther away.

Considering the skills we have now, and if HoH was left the way it used to be, I'd not be surprised if everyone would just run Signet of Mystic Wraith spike and hold for ever...
The old HA encouraged overly defensive builds, with as many defensive skills as possible. This could pretty much range from bonders, fertile, 7 n/mos, 7 monks and a ranger - which out of 64 skills probably had 7 that could actually do any damage. Thrilling.
As far as getting ganked is concerned I think this is largely unavoidable on 1v1v1 situations, obviously.
I don't really care for Kill Counts, but I think Relic Runs, Capture Points, and HoH Relic Runs are one hell of a lot more strategical than Chain Seeding the ghost while never receiving any double digit damage. HoH still has the essence of luck and the fact that one of your oppositions failure to know what they are doing gets you kicked off the altar quite often

the thing i hate about the (most) common pvp high ranked players is anyone lower than there rank is stupider/noober/everything bad. you guys should think about the community and pvp not about your rank and pvp. all those selfish ppl who think Anet works for them should change there minds. 6v6 is more challenging, 8v8 is more spikes. im willing to drop 8v8 so more ppl do pvp and get atleast some chances to go further in the maps.

For getting into groups, maybe - but that is just because it is the only semi-reliable way of deciding whether a PUG might be beneficial in your team. As for a general condescneding nature, I disagree. If you go into HA as a respectable team (i.e. not Searing Flames, Rit Spike, Ele Ball, Spirit Spam) and give it a good shot, then most people will respect that. There are high level players that may look down on you, but typically those are the people that can't run anything besides broken builds. Ask them to do anything beside 3, 2, 1 spike... forget it, they're worse than a r3 SF ele. I see a lot more party formation in 8v8, so I think your argument is really flawed. Although I guess the perception of HA will forever be tainted by these types of rumors.
Also, don't try to just join random groups. I try to be nice to people, but when I get someone who spams Join Party on me; yes I will make him feel like a complete idiot. People get what they deserve.
