Badly formed hybrids may as well have been my trademark with how often I tried to run them. Also, I did test to see if retreat is still bugged(though I'm not sure if it's actually a bug from the skill description) after I posted. It is.

Anothe pressure style build, though this one is a bit more thought out and straight forward. In normal play the smiter generally hits the mellees, though switches to trained casters if needed. The grasp ranger plays defensively, crippling warriors and degening casters (switch grenth's fingers in for natural stride in order to use a condition bowstring, since you'll be enchanted when you need the stance anyway ). Theres no enchant removal, so the mellee players need to know how to play mellee classes.
For holding altars, the smiter puts up boon/doesn't put up zealots and plays like a monk with a really shitty bar. Derv plays defensively, making midliners kite. The warrior and ranger abuse interupts. The paragon does the same thing he does on every map, so you can afford to put your worst player on it. Relics should be fine since theres 2 sources of spammable cripple.
EDIT: I realized right after posting this that a tainted warder would fit into the ranger's slot much better and free up brace yourself on the paragon.
http://gwshack.us/61c8d
The newer version has a weak spike, but also has wards and a more easily spread condition.

Hey, at least being better than 99% of the GW population at spiking makes me 100% better than you in every aspect.
Anyhow, I just had a small revelation.
*Flashback to the dying days of 8v8*
The standard 2 migraine 1 SS build wasnt so hot atm but people started to drop a monk for a second necro and rely on offense to win.
Now compare the monks in wolfy's first build to those in Bastian's.
- this has no bearing on overall builds because I am just skimming -
As much as I hate 6v6 for being a crap gameplay mode..............
(((I am optimistic 8v8 will be back but I will seriously /emoslashwristsIRLandpostpics if it stays 6v6)))
I finally found a reason to like 6v6.
Instead of 3 w/e monks with channeling he posted up a 2 monk backline without a second thought... in ..8v8.. tombs....... nice...... then I saw sandstorm.
New rule: Sandstorm = lose
GL ALL!

Since you asked for comments I'll give you some.
1) Shock warrior = gg. Although, consider the options the 'sin profession has brought about, even if you don't want to lose the elite slot.
2) Battery = gg.
3) Warder = gg.
4) Choker = gg.
5) Oath spammer :: A lot of focus on obsolete mechanics here. In my opinion, better options are now available as to what you could do with this slot.
And the 3 monk backline we all know and love.

Problem with the 'sin is that it gives away the spike and in HA you don't want to do that. The Oath is just what I used in old HA but I would take a mantra of recovery mesmer now.

http://gwshack.us/0588 <--- WTB Air Spike
16 Air/10 Storage/10 Healing, Protection or Blood on spikers
16 Domination/10 Blood/10 Inspiration on the Mesmer
Anyway, Mystic, it's the same with a shock warrior because a W/E charging towards a squish target also gives the spike away.

Heard of fake shocks? Thats how I used to call against team with good prots so never had a problem with that. And with the Mesmer - Dervish build, so what if you see it coming? You can't do anything if your constantly blacked out :O

Last one, honest. I really couldn't decide what to do with the 3rd midline slot..I also don't know if running 1 smiter is worth it. Yeah the para seems wasteful..I don't know. At least this build is slightly more original.
Edit: Thanks for the suggestion Coke. Changed the Para a lot..Ill work on it more later.

Vermillion: I haven't clicked too many of the recent gwshack links even yet but I read yours and it is okay. Some of the paragon skill choices/attribs are questionable though. One friendly tip for anyone ever setting up attributes on a paragon with GFTE - If you can only have 9 to 11 spear go for 10 because the damage jump when you crit vs 60AL is most significant, something like 33/39/43. I hadn't thought of using weapon of fury to make thumpers actually playable, but besides that skill I would change the rest of them hehe.
Mystic: You are right fake shocks could be one aspect of good spike calling with melee, and you don't need a teleport if you are any good. I still don't like those builds really TBH though.
K, for all...... Next weekend is 8v8 trial week(end) or w/e. The contest runs until approximately 1 day after 6v6 returns. BTW not one person who supports 6v6 has had the balls to post a build yet, surprised.

The only problem I can see with Shadow Form is the fact that when it falls off, you lose all that HP, but then again I can assume you have good enough communication with the people you know to work around that. Otherwise I think that's a solid build.

I agree i also think that there is probably a more suitable elite then Shadow Form that could be used, i think it will would probably turn out more of a problem than helping imo. Otherwise good solid build, i see people all have the classic sb/infuse, that was really mostly what i played when i played balanced however maybe another elite other than SB would be of use for example, HH or maybe even Healers Boon with no infuse and Other instead.

Why would you need to use shadow form just to get to monks in tombs no less? That is just retarded. If you really want to waste your elite and secondary to do that use AOD.

yesh, at the start of most fights vs. spike builds, if someone over extends they die. Anyway I wasnt sure what to use and mesmers are such squishes I thought it would be a good idea, I wasnt even being serious about the build xD, if I was it wouldnt be anything like that. anyway this coke dude doesnt even know what he's looking for, this is just a waste of time.
