Something lots of people don't seem to be considering is the fact that if old builds did return, i.e. Iway, Bloodspike. There will be new counters.
It'd be real smart to run IWAY these days with sandstorm being on most warders bars. Yea I'm sure it'd thrive -_-

bring back 8on8, bring back iway and bspike and rspike, but open the options up more for more dynamic balance builds with the new NF skills
keep it 6on6, keep spirit spamming and wards holding, but keep the so eeeeeeeeevil iway out.
gosh such a hard decision i dont know.

voted 8v8.
I was originally a supporter of the 6v6 format, and while it was fun for a while I'd ultimately like to see 8v8 return.

I wouldn't count on sandstorm being the best counter considering its 2 second cast time has "d-blow me plx" written all over it. Maybe IWAY will have to have 1 war bring 2 interupts tho so he can d-blow sandstorm and then if you use ward right after that he can d-chop it after. Or have 2 wars on warder, idk.... but either way you're on the right track.
But the the thing is in 8v8 you can fit the counters in. Imagine if someone got IWAY or any similar melee-heavy pressure build to be very effective in 6v6. Now guess what. You're teams gotta chose. Do we bring melee hate to beat new IWAY? Do we bring caster hate to beat SF? Or do we bring anti-jagged bones stuff to beat jagged bones-way. Guess what, you can't fit all of it in. You can fit counter to 1 , maybe 2 of them. Were as in 8v8 you can fit all the counters in and its player skill that determines the win, IMO. So yes, that means if you have all the IWAY counters in your team (which in 8v8 you should... 6v6 is a different story, rock paper scissors anyone?) and the IWAY beats you they are more skilled than you (or at least played more skillfully than you in that match). Visa versa if you beat them....

the good guys are still winning
I think now its only a matter of time when we will see 8v8 Heroes Ascend back. The poll made by Djinn on gwonline has similar results. Its so obvious now, that implementing 6v6 format without any REAL test ( you can hardly call double fame weekend a good test ) was a huge mistake. I only hope they will fix it fast.
Dont wait anet, Heroes Ascend community wants it back!

Not sure if I'm allowed to post this but I've heard some leaked info that HA is going back to 8v8 "soon". If you think its BS the same source told me of the gvg changes before it was posted on guildwars.com and a few other game changes prior to it being publically released. If I'm not allowed to post this just delete my post, sorry.

Sure why not. SoC and wards/ss won't be on the same guy though so different warrior can worry about interupting them. Heck, the last 8v8 IWAY metagame dropped 1 war for a pd mes so... <3 interupts
btw hi2u peaches (if thats the peaches i know ~.~ theres more than one...)

I'd love 8v8 back, maybe a 6v6 weekend here and there, like there was before. Anet introduced a 6v6 weekend, and because of the double fame, assumed it was popular because of the 6v6 aspect, so it became 6v6 permanently. please, i want 8v8 pvp back (that isn't guild battles, because im getting bored of those now)

I normally just read these forums and dont post, but after seeing the drop in competition, the disbanding of all those dedicated HA guilds, and the decrease in build variety, I wholeheartedly wand 8v8 to come back.

I can see the point many of the 8v8ers make about the 6v6 having more restrictive and less 3 dimensional tactics, however I have still voted 6v6, because it actually allows me to play.
As a member of a small and exclusive (aus/nz gamers aged 30+) guild, it is nigh impossible to get an 8 person team together without pugging (which none of us are interested in doing). I believe that change to 6v6 was made for people like me who can now grab 4 people and a couple of heros then jump right in - If it goes back to 8v8 then I'll go back to being limited to playing once a month or so when there's enough guildies online.
