Good HA suggestion to increase district population
I don't see the point in all the english, german, american, italian seperate districts. For HA. Sure in PVE and such but not in HA.
I think there should be international districts only.
There's a few people who don't ever go to international districts (not sure why), but you could group so many more people together.

Why no? What is up with that idea?
Also, you have to get five (I think?) wins in RA or TA to get HA? It could be a part of temple of balthazar. Then it'd attract many more new people probably.
Perhaps a bad idea but I'm not sure. There's loads of people who play GW who don't really know anything about PVP, that's not to say they wouldn't be good at it if they tried.

Euro districts default so they can keep all the minion masters and healing assassins that haven't mastered district switching out of the way.

My friends and I were on vent a few days ago discussing how new comers to HA are clueless about international district. They go to American district 1 and stay there for 1-2 hours spamming for LFG.
Sad, yet funny at the same time. In any case, I see more positive than negative aspects to your suggestion Elektra.

This idea is not going to work, You say that you can group so much people together but nobody would want to group with a complete newbie such as the players that hang out in the home districts. This would probably increase rank discrimination because everyone has been merged together and make it harder for new players to break into HA.

The whole point of his idea is to help new players. The ranked players / "elitists" already know about international districts and also already choose to play with other players of similar ranks. I dont know exactly where your concern is coming from, only that maybe you feel that there will be more competition for you personally to get into a group. While this may have some truth to your own personal troubles, the overall effect would be helping the newer players and the PUG community.
The only reason why its not already like this is because of the whole favor system, which is already broken because as stated all the good players go to international districts and your team may have players from all over the world on it, but if there are more European players in your group then your group will be considered Europe.
/Signed
I think this would be helpful to the PUG community

Hi there,
Idea sounds great.
Still, i think you forgot the fact that Gw is 7-77 yo Game.
And, having young players in my guild, i know that they chose their group first by language select. (Chinese,French, German, Russina etc...).
Because most of them dont speak english that good to go on Vent Servers yet.
Great Idea though. Because, International District is really nice about people getting closer. And That's what a GREAT part about Mmorpg.
"Omg He just went in.... Sitck to the plan. Stick to the plan."

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but if I'm new to the game and learning, having someone yell at me in a language I don't understand probably isn't going to encourage me to play more or make me a better player.

I have seen people speak dutch/croatian/german/italian/korean in international districts. I have seen many italians in italian district speak italian, but when asked if they could speak English they said yes, but not very well.

You're from England and you have problems speaking English. Doesn't mean other countries are like this. England (I live here, so I know) starts learning languages far too late so generally we arn't very good. Other countries are much more developed with other languages.
As for the wammos and such. Eh, you still get them in international districts too sometimes. I did however meet a guy today and he was new to HA. He did not seem like a moron, and I pointed him in the international direction. Now I'm sure he'd of had the sense to find it eventually, but my idea for him would of worked.
If you don't want a wammo in your team, you don't have a wammo in your team... You ask them what their skillbar is...
Setting up a group isn't hard if you are organized. Whether you're rank1, or rank14. You do not have to have anyone in the group you do not like.
The only thing is, with more people bundled, you might find the districts more lively or something.

Name the european countries which don't speak English. Name the european countries which do. Name the european districts...
I've closed the game but if I'm not mistaken theres :
English
German
Italian
French
And that's it, right?
English speaks English.
Germans speak English.
French people speak English.
Italians speak English (though not very well).
There are two types of people. Those that learn. Those that teach themself.
Some of the wammos CAN learn, but arn't capable of teaching themselves. If people are spamming ''lod/infuse LFG'' it'd inspire them to want to know what lod/infuse is.
They don't get that in home districts.

Though I don't hate the idea because it would lead to a lot more groups.
HA controls favor, and without the separate districts like they have now there would be no real way to dictate who's from where. They'd have to trash the entire favor system.

Say I'm on european districts and I'm group leader. 5 others (if it's 6man) are American. You could be winning for europe (I don't agree with this idea, but it is just an idea).
Or have it like it is now. Nothing would need to be changed... If people are really playing to go farm they'll ask who's in the group.
Hell no. The abuse from having name on Global when you're a european, winning halls at 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5AM is just quite orgasmic. Wouldn't trade it for the world. :/.

Well I've only ever been in HA euro districts once on a friend's account a couple months ago so I really don't know. But I assumed the districts were separated because of language barriers. Maybe I was wrong though.
I do see your point though so I guess this isn't a bad idea. It might bring another ~20 people (10 of them being afkers) to int districts to find groups. I guess thats 10 more people LFG though, so I can't really see that as a bad thing then.... (nothing to be celebrating over though...)

I don't think anyone above rank 2 actually forms in american or english districts... If anything, just default people to international districts when they zone into HA (or maybe any outpost on the battle isles) but don't remove the local districts. That won't help any, except for cluttering the chat.

Germans form in german districts, so there's usually 1 more than english (1 eng/2 german or 2 eng/3 german) italian/spanish are always empty in every outpost... french is slightly less empty...
If you lumped everyone in int, you'd have spam in english alongside spam in german with some spam in french thrown in + the obligatory "Nuker LFG experienced group no noobs"
