The only decent koreans I can think of use vent, and the rest never get past dark chambers.

the only fact is if you dont have vent 95% of team wont take you.

the remain 5% dont get past the second maps.

Vent is very important even for the casual player. If you cant get it your at a serious disadvantage because most advanced teams wont take you.

On a side note, im tired of getting monks in my HA group who say "im monking why do you need me on vent"

DUH! YOUR MONKING!

Dont join a team that advertises vent as a requirement and then refuse to get on only because you dont think its important..

GvG, you need voice software. but in HA?

In HA, if a group requires you to log to vent, they are either spike or they need to tell themselves what to do.

( hex removals, calling tactics, calling important conditions to remove, calling monks energy status and countless of others ). Vent is huge help and you;re going to have much more easy time when you can communicate with each other. This is simply the fact

I agree on this, if I get someone on vent and they say they do not have a mic, that is fine, if they are too lazy to get on they probably not worth taking (less its someone you know):/

To be honest, I can't remember the last time (or ever for that matter) I've done something productive in PvP while NOT on vent.

I did a straight HA run and held 3 times without vent last week

but other then that without vent dont expect to get anywhere (joining teams/doing well with what teams u do join)

well which ones can you think of? Because I know for a fact that most koreans don't use vent. And YES, these include Brehon, Ruen, (and basically everyone in luna). Also, Leeloof doesn't use vent, and never has really. This was true when he used to hold halls more often as well.

Most koreans who are close and know each other in rl play in LAN cafes which is probably why they dont use vent.

And just to correct you ruen uses ts and vent so does Luna.

I was in a korean guild...believe me most of them do not live near each other and do not use vent most of the time. (If they do it is usually a "come if you want" sort of thing) And I have never played with Luna when they used vent...so I'm not really sure who you played with. Maybe they have gotten some new members that use it since the last time I played with them.

This totally depends on the amount of experience the group has.

But, yes. Vent (or Teamspeak) Is usually a need for all HA groups looking to get to HoH. Typing when fighting is a pain and hard to do when concentrating.

You should have vent or a TS available when doing HA. But, if you do not have vent or TS and want to get far then i suggest getting a group that has r3+ or some other pvp titles. This would tell you they are exp with HA and know what they are doing.

For vent, imo, communication is key to victory. And vent is in my eyes the best option for that. Sure, you can play without it, and hell, if you are playing with leteci, you dont even wanna be on vent, but its always better if the strats are giving fast and easy noticable.

For most PuGs and spike teams vent is certainly a requirement.

However after you play with a certain group of friends for so long you come to rely alot less on vent for calling strat as you all start to know each other and know what to do in your group for most situations without being told.

You can then use vent for more important topics, such as how sexy that warrior looks in his bright pink armor...
