Haha i love some of the builds ive seen here so far, they are definatly noob.
But...... I do have some sympathy for the noobs/noob builds. I remember my first time in RA when i was a noob. I somehow wandered into RA with a PvE character who was only probably lvl 12-16. I can vaguely remember spamming Flare.
But now I have mutured as a player and offen play in RA and GvG. I think I'm pretty good, I use high end builds and test a lot of the builds off of wiki.
All we need to do is let the young-uns grow and learn the game. Now if they have been playing since the game came out and still have some of the builds mentioned, then i think its ok to go laugh at them =]

This build has gotten me many a glad point in RA where the mindset is "gank the monk". You can bond the two most likely targets in the team and still have enough energy for 5 frenzies/mending touches before you have to drop one of the bonds, while being largely ignored beyond the occasional blind. The net result is your team takes half as much damage from the opposition.
A competent monk almost guarentees a glad point, and bonding a nearly competent monk (which are much more common) turns them into a competent one (albeit via a crutch).

Yes, you feel the lack of bull strike/shock.

Ele with watchful spirit, Monks with mending/healing breeze (theres 68998696986 of these guys) warrior spamming flare. bane signet warriors. Rangers that bring Fertile season/Natures renewal/Quickening Zephr to RA.
Warrior using Backfire, conjure phantasm and ether feast among others. A dervish with as far as i could see no attack skills, just self heal/protection skills and no elite.

I saw a mo/w with something like this:
[skill]Signet of Judgment[/skill]
[skill]Final thrust[/skill]
[skill]Sever artery[/skill]
[skill]mending[/skill]
[skill]healing breeze[/skill]
[skill]frenzy[/skill]
[skill]watchful spirit[/skill]
[skill]judge's insight[/skill]
But worst build possible goes hands down to a W/R I saw using a bow, frenzy and ignite arrows. Whenever I see something like that I wonder if that person seriously doesnt know just how bad their build is.

....I believe the point of this thread was to actually EXPLAIN why the "bad builds" were bad? And that it was supposed to be HELPFUL, not just a "omg hes bad lol" piece of trash thread.
If this thread is supposed to help people, it's clearly a bad thread. A helpful thread without helpful advice? Right.
Let's get it back on track, people. I'd like better opponents and teammates in RA and other PvP arenas, let's actually try to help them out, mkay? Thanks.

Something I see quite often in RA is monks with mending. They arent just using it for themselves...they are "bonding" the team with it.
why is this bad?
Mending can has it uses (Countering mild degen when running)
But +3 regen just dont cut it. +3 regen = 6 hp pr sec, and seeing that even flarespammers can dish out around 50 dmg pr sec...6 hp isnt that much.
If you wanna bond however, the protection line offers a FAR superior skill: Life bond. It reduces the dmg by ½, and combined with balthazars spirit on yourself, the bonds become a nice form of energymanagement, along with blessed signet.
(Bonding (with life bond) is actually quite effective in RA, and I've got my share of glad points as Mo/D with bonds, zb, vital blessing and mystic regen ^^)

He was running Empathy as well and maybe blackout
There are many reasons why this is bad, but for the most part things like to above are part of a common problem..
People have a class they like to play. Its likely their PvE toon and they may never have ventured to use a PvP slot. So they try and do everything inefficiently on a character like a warrior or ranger rather than actually use the skills in a class that can make proper use of them instead of wasting the strengths of the class they are running.
Also, no screens, but I played an A/rit who would shadowstep to you and lay spirits...
