Mighty Throw
Useful or useless in a Paragon based build?
[skill]Mighty Throw[/skill]
Pro:
Charges with only 2 Adrenaline, so it's very spammable
+42 damage with 16 in spear mastery
Con:
Cast time, even though it's effected by IAS, under Aggressive refrain, it still takes slightly more than 2 seconds to toss it
Spamming it reduces adrenaline build up for other skills
The question is, is it useful in a pressure based Paragon build?
Edit: If you do feel it's useless, what do you think would be a good substitute skill? (Think 5 Paragons, tons of shouts and defense, pressured targets will be hit with volleys (under GfTE+Anthem of Guidance) of 2x Vicious 3x Mighty Throw followed with Spear of Lightning and the other two Mighty throws. Would you use Wearying Spear, Unblockable throw or something else?
Off topic: How do you get the skill icons to work on this site? Answered tks!

Mighty Throw is a useful in a rainbow spike, when there is already a reliable source of deep wound in the spike. It is inefficient when used as pressure when compared to other adrenal based spear attacks. I'd recommend using barbed spear, blazing spear or wild throw.

Mighty Throw is crap for pressure. Compared to simply auto-attacking vs a level 20, 60 armour target, using Mighty Throw will come out in the lead by a whopping 3 damage.

I have ran this in a rainbow spike and seemed to work ok. 100 damage on target for 2 adren. drawback is that if a team gets smart its easy to interupt and disrupt your spike.

if you have say 5 paragons take one paragon with song of purification then you can take wearying spear removes your weakness, deep wound and nice dmg and spammable.

2-second cast time, high projectile speed, high front-load damage with low actual DPS. That's a spike skill.
The fact that it's only 2 adrenaline makes it no less of a spike skill than the 5-second recharge on Lightning Orb.

Wearying Spear, if you can fit remedy signet, is probably better overall. M.Throw is more like a spike skill, not exactly pressure.

Usually in today's meta there are "mini-spikes" in pressure builds. This is where I would use this. When you dont have many points in spear mastery and you have like 3+ chants and maybe "It's Just a Flesh Wound!". At 9 spear mastery they both deal the same damage (+28), wearying spear costs 1 more adren, and it weakens you. Otherwise I would just use Spear of Lightning/Harrier's Toss for a true spike paragon as well as Cruel Spear.
