rather not overextend just to use it.

Depends if the skill you're interupting would be a skill that would usually target you.
Yeah.

Then you consider GolE, which saves you potentially 25 or so energy for no spec. To get 25 on pdrain you need 12 inspiration. -.-
|
P-Drain interupts too, so it'd be unfair to have it super powerful as GoLE does not effect the other team; however, mesmer has more energy spells you can use. Not just p-drain... You'd run it with another skill.

So yeah, maybe a small buff to inspiration and a nerf to gole is whats needed to make monk bars more diverse, but idk.

I don't agree with nerfing gole, at all.

Your version of ihex is truly crazy for emanagement considering it's not a pure emanagement skill but would also be really good (15s recharge direct hex removal). AND you can have 2 copies of it in your skill bar, which would give you elite emanagement level (at 9 insp, it'd be a net 7E/8s on average if the other team uses any kind of hexing) + very good hex removal.
|
Possible, I'd still think ''inspired or veil'' instead of ''veil''. Then maybe keep it 20 second, or something; however, at the moment it's neither good energy management or hex removal... There must be some point it can be balanced. :].

I'd like to see boon signet get a good buff, as well as divine boon's healing (slightly--3-4 points at 14). That way, the boonprot can come back as a viable monk build, but not in its previous form with oob/edrain/inspired hex. Good days...

That'd be nice.

Superior energy management on monks is bad. Superior energy management on offensive casters isn't nearly that bad.

Energy management on monks makes boring impossible-to-pressure games where spike is the only option.
Energy management on offense makes games where people die, making both spike and pressure easily viable if the defense doesn't have overpowering emanagement.
People dying>>spikes.

Yeah thats what I was going to add..using channeling or Ihex etc along with pdrain makes it useful. But you almost definately wouldn't use it unless you were already specced into inspiration for some reason. Not that I don't love interrupts
I don't really know about Glyph..I keep hearing that it's completely imba and usually thats enough for me to believe its so. Since you can be Mo/A, /W, etc and still play on a competitive level, I don't know as if it really needs a nerf. <.<
Aegis ftl though.
