i'm just saying the fallback time should not give advantage to one side. if u cant make everyone happy then make everyone sad. becoz it's supposed to be a fair competition.

I understand your point, and i agree with it 100%. I was just acting as "the voice of reason".

sof 2 - 0 ri
stop crying about fallback times.
how to make it unfair for both? 6am GMT? but then the euros might get to work late... but hell, at least it makes the american's stay up late! no get realistic - 3am is quite possibly the best time to accomadate for PST and GMT players - yes it's RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing harsh, but learn to deal with it and less QQ

Who does not?
As I want them too ... thanks again for your accomodation with the match time, though it was a bit late for me and I missed my first lesson today.
If we had fought at Euro Primetime, so 20 GMT or something like this, the games would have been a lot different I think ... we could have survived twice as long at least.

Hoenstly, this new "rule" is as ill-thought out as the rest of the tourney. It's one time at least 6 hours from fallback. So if I am an american and want to force a euro to play at the 3am thursday time and still be a "good sportsman" I'll just offer 3am wednesday as my alternate. There now I've fufilled this dumb rule that doesn't do anything and I am still a total ass. The only difference is I can't be disqualified for it.
2-0 RIP over fast. They had henchies though.

The 2 matches 6 hours comes from the Q&A posted by mike, but it's not actually in the rules. That makes it a set of guidelines more than rules.

Team Flamingo [FFs] vs I Vincere Aut Mori I [vaM]
2-0
We had a pretty good time setup on both sides. Used a couple backup players to arrange a 3pm est (which is around 8-10pm euro) match.

For the following reasons:
Both guilds communicated and competed at the agreed upon fall back time. There is insufficient evidence to overturn this result.
Additional information:
All guilds are now required to offer 2 distinct match schedule times (at least 6 hours apart). The fall back time can be one of these two offered times. This rule was not in force during round 3.

Two points on this really
First, we didnt agree to compete at the fallback time. We had two choices - play at the fallback time with 4 henchies or lose by default. Although it meant a certain defeat, we decided to play with henchies. Are Anet saying here that had we not bothered to turn up they might have overturned the result?
Second, as already said, if we are offered for example 4am Thursday and 4am Friday then we are equally screwed. I dont think this is the spirit of the new rule so this needs some clarification.
It seems likely that if we get drawn against Americans again without the possibility of weekend play we will just not bother.
