To all the overzealous members of Team Fun, I got this from Michael Gills:
Quote:
To the tournament leader of Dudele Dulci,
After deliberation by the ArenaNet tournament team your 2nd round match was adjudicated as a:
0-0 double loss for both guilds
|
I guess that settles it. Besides, your leader knew I was unreachable for the weekend, because I had to attend a conference - that is why I suggested having the game on Thursday/Friday, and delegated responsibility for the game to one of my officers. So me not being on at the set times for the game was KNOWN by your guild leader a few days in advance. I'm not even gonna bother going into any details, since apparently there's no real communication in your guild and you guys are totally out of the loop with what's really going on. You should try and talk to your guild leader more often.

As for this, yes i got this to. Just so you know, i fought for a draw, then i get your nasty email saying a guildy of mine wrote the results that Michael Wrote to me in an email that Team Fun won by forfeit. Yes he wrote me match results saying this, if you want the email id be more then happy to send it to you. So there is no reason for your guildies, Tudy, to be saying things like theis to my guild. As for them not knowing thats fair, we can all appologise and move along with our lifes.
Look, we wanted to play these games against you. We really did, but the thursday games were too soon to give my guildies time to set up and be on. As i wrote you, Thurdsday is not a good day for me or my guild. I dont need to say anything else since it was already said in email's. Please stop acting immature and trying to flame me or my guildies I dont really appreciate it. I was doing what i could to try and get the match set up. I was on enough for you guys to reach me, and I tried to stay in contact as much as HUMANLY possible. I have a grand total of 20 emails from you and your officer you designated while you were away, i also have talked to you ingame, your officer in game (Orthias i appreciated you understanding my predicament) and the other officer who i didnt appreciate so much.
Everything that was said, was said, let it be, its a loss for both guilds, i fought for a draw, but anet felt diffrently, and with this bickering going on, maybe it was for a good reason.
So ok, we lost the both of us did, thats fair, now we move on to our third match, and good luck in your match/es.
Thanks
~Bar Fight!

When my guildies are talking unessicarily to another guild or their guild is talking to my guildies, i will not let them talk to eachother if the argument has become childish. Im not a fascist, im not immature, but when things become childish around me i need to put my footdown. (im not putting blame on either guild.) the reason i dont want them talking to or being tlaked to, is becasue, this is somthing that needs to be handled by me, and should only involve me, their problem is not with my guildies, its with me, and them catching my guildies up in it, is not ok. So please, im sorry if that comment offends you, but its for the best intrest of people on this page, and for the guild chat in my guild. nothing should have happened like this outside of what happened with anet and in guild wars. If you act childish does your guild leader let you know about it?

David, there was a pretty amusing fight between some pink members and I while I was in the guild, I deleted my posts though, because I don't like to be in the middle of e-drama, just start between other people.

Ummmm. Could we get this thread back to discussion of results in the tournament rather than arguing over who said what? The tournament management will settle disputes.
Anyway. Are any of the better teams frapsing their matches so as to hold them aloft, trophy like, in this thread?

Xanthar, no. The reason this thread is great is due to massive e-drama every time there's a match (and it's generally between a couple teams I've never heard of, making it even more fun!)

LOL! If my guild leader said something like that, I know for a fact that we'd all laugh at him. If you are in a situation where you can command what your guildies do, you aren't going to be very successful. lol, forbiding guildies to do stuff, that's hilarious.

This tournament would suck without e-drama. This can be extended to Guild Wars in general...

its pointless e-drama and caused by Anet and their screwy fall back times. We have a fall back time of 3am Friday morning. Do Anet think all their Euro players don't have jobs or something? Weekends most people can work around but a weekday fallback time just favours the US teams, something that Anet are no doubt aware of.

[wild] unable to play before 8pm EST (1am GMT) on a weeknight, [zEn] unable to start after midnight GMT on a weeknight. [zEn] wont be able to field any players at the fallback time, [wild] will. [zEn] concedes. No fault of [wild] who at least tried to be as accomodating as they could.

I wonder how come you don't remember that at he fallback time you didn't have enough people, because you did speak with Orthias at that time(we have print screens to prove it) and that's exactly what you told him. You also confessed (and we have print screens of that too) that we had to play Saturday 3:00 PM OR Sunday 3:00 PM, and yet you then say that the established time was only Saturday 3:00 PM. So, if you are not lying, then I don't know how to call it. I'm not trying to flame any of you, but I just hate lies.

Are you kidding?! And miss the humor goldmine that such a fascist statement gives us? You must be out of your mind. The very idea of letting someone get away with saying such a dumb thing is almost offensive!
