No, the reason they changed the order is because they didn't like people waiting 7 minutes on Altar Cap maps, and they wanted to appeal to the PvE-ers waiting for favor, complaining that ''America sucks/Europe sucks''.
Although, in my honest opinion, they should've just took out Scarred Earth and left Burial Mounds in. I mean, no one likes skipping from the NPC's to Scarred Earth, and only getting 1 fame for beating 2 teams.

I see it like this:
People were so happy that it went to 6v6 becuase it eliminated homosexual builds such as b-spike and iway. Now they figured that they can't adapt easily, they are crying for it to go back to 8v8. Even with random map rotation, iway and bloodspike will be meta because of their ability to adapt to every mapstyle. You wll see the same builds repeated over and over, just with 2 more characters added into the fray. As for the suggestions to changing halls fromats: No....just no. Its been this way since i bought the game, and if yout hinking you lost good players when you wnt to 6v6, wait till you change format of halls. there will be no one playing. So im not saying dotn change anything, simply dont make rash decisions that are not going to change the state of the game.

Let me speak on behalf of all the nubs:
Looking for a group/setting up build: 15- 45 minutes
Fighting Zaishen: 2-3 minutes
Map1 : 1v1 - Underworld 5- 10 minutes = 1 fame
Map2 : 1v1v1 - Broken Tower 4 minutes = 0/ 2+1 fame
Map3 : (1v1) v (1v1) - Scarred Earth 10-30 minutes = 3/ 3+3 fame
Total hours of game play to gain fame:
1 fame = 22- 58 minutes
3 fame = 26 - 62 minutes
6 fame = 36 - 92 minutes
What do I suggest? Bring back Burial Mound and take out Scarred Earth!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im sure most of us are here play this game for FUN, but its not fun anymore waiting for hours, dying, group raging, wasting 60 mins to gain 1 fame so that we can gain fame to join higher rank groups~ ( ofcourse, Higher rank group= faster set up time because any rank group will accept you)
Ill be honest, I was force into IWAY'ing for a small period of time because IWAY was the only way for me to find a group with a fast set up time & to pwn the higher rank groups. I eventually hit rank 9+ with IWAY and other builds...However...IWAY build got boring after awhile, but people still played it because winning fame and not wasting time is the way to go~
Yes. Something easy, FUN, and not a waste of time. 6v6 is great and definitely cut down the set up time when setting up a group. My only request is if ANET can bring back Burial Mound and take out Scarred Earth, much will be appreciated by the community.

Stop whining that the majority wants 8v8 back. Oh no it'll kill your spirit spam fotm crap, QQ. Its not that people can't adapt, its that the skills just aren't made for 6v6, and 6v6 feels like TA.

I dont think anyone here should judge 8vs8 builds when 6vs6 has fotms just the same.
Paraway
Spirit spamming
Zergway
SOMW spike
etc,
I think the mods should make people stay on topic discussing builds should be in the builds section no?

Anet made heroes to let unranked players play Tombs or make it easier to get into it.
But really geting into it without heroes is not hard at all, join a guild or join pug groups or make your own, there are plenty of sites like that can help you aswel such as:
www.gwshack.us
www.guildwarsguru.com/forums
www.ventrillo.com
Start using vent, find builds that you are comfortable playing as, and make your own groups, really from my own experience, I have played with many r12s and usually they were not the ones organizing the group or giving orders or strategies, as long as you have the initiative to start your own groups, speak on vent and give people your opinions. Even if you dont feel enough confidence to this, you can always play something that people will need, example: SF,RaO,Monks,Steady stance, Spirit spamming ( now there really is no skill in spirit spamming is there?).
If people start doing this they will see really rank means nothing nowadays and its not really a problem.
I mean if you do lets say 70 fame a day ?
Thats roughly rank 6 in just 12 days.
Some people that even play more that can do more then 100 fame a day, thats r9 in 40 days, your shiny tiger emote.
All you have to do is be patience, dont rage quit, dont stress out and most of all enjoy what you are doing and put some effort and work in it.
To the people that are not understanding me or are hardcore PvE'ers think of it like, You want FoW armor, you know you are going to have to work your butt of farming ectos, or shards, or whatever it is you do, and its going to take atleast a month, well rank is the same, it takes time and experience geting it and it is a very good reward just like your FoW armor is.
Most important, if you are not enjoying the game and all you want is a emote, then dont whine about it because it is not anyones but your fault.
Besides, everyone has to start from somewhere so its nothing to be ashamed of, and about rank discrimination, if anyone gives you any crap about he/she being higher ranked then you? Simply ignore the person because he/she is a idiot. Dont go down to their level, I've seen r6s play better then r12s.
Hope that helps new players and people that are argueing about the "need" of Heroes.
Heroes are AI therefore they should stick to Player versus Enviroment, and the use of AI doesnt really sound too logic in Player Versus Player does it? No It does not make sense.

Kind of nice post and all but people are inpatient, and the majority of them have little drive to do something. That's why pro-gamers are rare, or skilled gamers in games... Not because people lack the talent but because they mostly lack the drive.
Einstein : "two things in this world are infinite, humans stupidity and the universe, I'm not so sure about the latter".
I had problems getting into teams at first because of no mic on ventrillo for a while. Because someone said you need mic, everyone followed it. Yes it helps, BUT if you are begining, it's quite nice to learn a better understanding of things on your own too (obviously you need vent/ts for spike groups)... I had similar thing in another game, being told you needed vent to say who was where. Was an FPS game, and if you're good - you rely on vent less. So I actually think maybe playing -without- vent for a while is good. You learn to think for yourself.

a good suggestion for ha is that pve char can have access to all pvp skills when they access the island of PVP world.. when they travel back they lose the skills... it would be gg for e.g peopel playing both pve and pvp.. they could e.g use fellblades and stuff to make more fun to HA (give more skins)

Lol......you are sadly mistaken if yout hink 8v8 is going to stop fotm builds. My guild in fact is already ready with a new version of our build. And btw, since apparently some people cant figure it out, we made that build, the fact that people suck and feel the need to steal it isnt our problem, and doesnt make it bullshit.
Heres how tings are going ot turn out:
Zergway- +1 Para, +1 fear me (+/- a trapper)
Paraway- +2 para
jagged- +rit, +another necro
spiritway- +thumper, +necro
Add in iway and bloodspike of course, and now oyu have all the problems of the old HA with new fotm builds!!!!!!! yay!

You sir, are FTW. Havn't seen a poster that great since dryder (legendary inventor of iway). Your so called Uber build was hardly created by you. The Spearman ran an 8v8 version and a 6v6 version far before you, and i doubt even they created it. To claim creation of a build is always arrogant and foolish.
On subject, I think what most people have discovered is that you can never kill flavor of the month builds. Players will always come up with something new that dominates and it will be copied by poorer or even better players. This is the way HoH has always worked, and I doubt that will ever change.
What is the proposed change to 8v8 going to accomplish then? It allows for more utility in a build to deal with the flavor of the month builds. with 2 extra character and 16 additional skills slots you add more possibilites. As with the current 6v6 you are forced to chose either an offencive or defencive build, both with little utility.
Currently the 6v6 arena is more of a paper, rock, scissors of builds. Where little skill determines the outcome, basically creating build wars. I currently see no possiblity of running a balanced build with any success, however in an 8v8 environment a balanced build is at least plausable.

Nothing will ever stop fotm builds. With more than a year of guild wars pvp under my belt I'm perfectly aware of that. What you seem to overlook though is that 8v8 allows us, players who choose to run balanced builds, to bring more counters to your gimmick builds, by giving us two more utility slots, thus creating a more stable and fair meta.
Also you forgot one thing. Skill balance is coming soon, very very soon. With those two changes - back to default Guild Wars pvp format - (8v8), and Nightfall skill balance HA could be brough back to the hands of good players, who left this disgusting scrubfest that HA has, sadly, become.

Also, stop QQing about IWAY. IWAY was never a problem IMO. It was perfectly legitimate pressure build with lots of weak points. If you had problems beating it....... gg.

8v8 was very diverse...I mean take Brehon or sama for instance how many builds do you see now in 6v6 that can hold halls with an ASSASSIN in the build? Nonetheless its mainly about how skilled the players are, but at least 8v8 was diverse compared to 6v6 where you have the majority of the team Necromancers with 1 Ranger. Does not take much skill to spam Hexes that hit also the adjacent foe and having 4 people heal each other with 1 skill. I agree that 6v6 is just about luck or either playing the waiting game or just rolling dice. I'll tell you now the longest matches I ever had were up to 30 minuteson Dark Chambers and this is only with 6v6 compared to the highest I had with 8v8 was around 10 minutes on scarred earth. I honestly hope ANET didn't pull this 6v6 stunt because of that 6v6 double fame weekend.

That is completely false. Anet stated very clearly that they changed it due to the speculation of many people enjoying the weekend of 6v6 Double Fame. They saw that many were having fun, but for other reasons they never thought of.
Okay, this thread is steering a little towards Anet-bashing and not on the topic...

Your right, how could i not see so "clearly"? oh wait i know why. its because of:

And these quotes from players:

In my opinion, changing HA from 8v8 to 6v6 is one of the best things done to this game lately. It's now much easier to get a team and games go much faster. I really like it, and would be sad if it was removed.

Also if you see guru has a poll too so linking to just GH's poll is not enough results
Heres Gurus poll:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...0096953&page=9
So best thing to do is to add both polls together. Result:
In favor of 6v6: 142 (GH) + 123 (Guru) = 265
In Favor of 8v8: 17 (GH) + 383 (Guru) = 400
Looks like overall more of the community still favors 8v8.... maybe not by as much as most people are making it out to be but its still pretty clear that 400 > 265...
Edit: I forgot about gwonline but if its like bacon says and 80% favor 8v8 well.... then it becomes even more in favor of 8v8....

Oh wow, a petition! There's what, 18 pages of /signs over at gwonline for 8v8, maybe more by now.
You quoted a whole 3 people! I'd quote everyone who wants 8v8, but thats basically this whole thread.
Guild-hall is full of gvgers who like 6v6 because its something to do while they aren't gvging or don't have enough on. I've asked my gvg friends why they like 6v6, thats what they said. They also said they could care less if it went back to 8v8. I'll give you the names of those people if you want. Yes they're top 50+ guilds.
The majority wants 8v8. Stop trying to defend 6v6 so you can continue running your spirit spam crap k?
