Yeah, it does. I was wondering about that.

I was beginning to develop the opinion that 6v6 was here to stay, and that ANet had made up their minds on the issue some time ago and were just stringing us along (shows what I know). My acrid response to the continued complaints here was based on this assumption--too many people seemed to be taking their ownership of the game a little too seriously. The way some people were talking, you'd think Guild Wars was their game, and that anything and everything that could be done to make them happier with it should be done immediately.

Actually, I turned my pvp monk pve when I got my r9 (I'm rewarding her with some new threads!), so I'm taking a break from HA for now. Imagine the look on my face when I saw the announcement: slogging my way through gay-ass 6v6 to get my r9, and then they announce 8v8 the day after I get my kitty. Both my forehead and my wall bear a striking physical testament to my frustration.

You didn't come out and say it, but the implication was pretty clear. What am I supposed to think when you say something like

(if i recall correctly), yet belittle others who agree with you, but do so in less mature ways."

Maybe the real question is "How does one belittle others in a mature manner?"

Cute, your 6v6 tiger. So 8v8 scared you off eh?

(my post) ... others who do so in less mature ways! Not you. Other people who agree with you, by QQing.

8v8 is coming, this will do for now. Sure we can argue about which game mode is better (I don't like the no-DP arcade style, for example), but now we at least have the necessary room to play the game fully. If it's still rock-paper-scissors, then it's because GW is like that, not because you were unjustfully restricted to kiddie-size teams.
If you ask me, I think we will see a lot of activity when 8v8 (and 2x fame) comes, and then it will become quiet again. I think more people will play 8v8 than 6v6, but I don't expect miracles. People have left for good, and a lot of damage has been done to the game rewards (i.e., already fairly meritless fame devalued beyond imagination), which makes it less interesting for many.
There will also be whines about kill count and how everything was better in the past, mostly from people who have long abandoned GW. These people will come to see 8v8, whine when their rusty grasp of the game fails them vs some FotM, and then leave again.

Actually, the majority of my fame still comes from the old school 8v8. I played from about last March to last August, and then took a break (when 6v6 was released) until mid-December. I think I earned about 1600 fame in 6v6.

If that's what you meant I'll take your word for it: I won't sit here and debate semantics, but the wording you chose appears ambiguous at best.
Still, I guess it's good that we sorted all of this out without it turning into a shouting match. It's always refreshing when that happens.

Regardless of whether Nadia got his fame from 4 man, 6 man, 987498479874 man.
Protting is protting. It's not really like infusing, where it's harder to infuse in 8man than 6. Okey that's not strictly true, but for the most part I would say this comment is fairly acurate. Also instead of even trying to criticize one for getting fame from 6man (even if for the majority it wasn't true) you should compliment him for getting it from protting and not like 8man IWAY or something.
8vs8 will be cool .

Sweet of you to rise to Nadia's defense to offset my evil joke about 6v6 tigers. No worries though, I am not one to take fame too seriously, and my remark was meant to close the conversation on a light note. Semantics again?
