I prefer 6v6 for HA, it also fills a gap in PvP from 4v4 in TA to the top level of PvP 8v8 GvG

Wonder why we have been complaining still, oh lets see maybe its because nothing has really changed. You think they fixed it? Id like to to say that to the hundreds of other players who disagree with you and the few ids now. Look at facts, you can clearly see fixed is nothing but what HA has been. I could go on about why HA sucks but i cant be botherd because its been said so much already so id suggest if you dont know read some other previous posts on other threads. Also concerning the skill update, so because pvers who dont play HA in such abundance cannot adapt then HA should be ruined for the ones who do it alot just so some pvers can do it once in a while? I think you yourself can see that that just is not right.

Ahahaha, you noob!
But anyway it's funny how she says "the polls are close" when every poll posted by her is like 6v6-200ish to 8v8-400-500ish. She only gave you that information to shut you up about HA.
And yes I wouldn't care if 8v8 came back if the maps stayed, I don't participate in special olympics ^.^!

Alright, I will agree they are pretty bad on dates, but I wouldn't say the community consistently says otherwise. Not a lot of highly competitive PvP'ers are understanding of things in this game other than HA (and other forms of PvP). More problems need to be met by ArenaNet, PvE included, even if you don't like it. PvE is the primary player base.

I would really love to see a poll that was (vote = 1 x player's amount of fame). Honestly, I don't think that a lot of people who vote for 6v6 even play that actively or well. I bet that poll would be roughly 90%/10%. Don't forget the most realistic poll of all. 8v8 almost always had 3-5 districts and 6v6 almost always had 2-3.
Someone like you who has actively played GW PVP (at least at one time) should be able to understand this easily. 6v6 is mainly not fun because the 2 missing character slots limit the viable builds so greatly that it comes down to a handful of things that actually work. Kill-count does the same type of thing just not as severe. Do you want to eat chicken each meal every day for 8 months?
Another major issue is that a lot of people like me ONLY like 8v8 gameplay modes like GVG and what tombs used to be. GVG takes a lot of effort and luck to even get 4 people near your skill level to member to play on demand in PUGs. I now don't log in to do anything but GVG. Thinking that you guys want another $50 from me for chapter 4, when all I even like is this one small section of the development efforts makes me feel kind of ripped off.
There are more reasons, and plenty of arguments against those people have made for 6v6. All of that has been done over and over again, now it is time for your decision. Anyhow even if the poll numbers come out in favor of 6v6, you can't base your decision totally on that.
When there was that 6v6 test weekend I didn't think that you would seriously change it. That fact is pretty scary because it shows just how out of touch whoever making this decision is with the player base. If you feel the need to add some sort of 6v6, do it without ruining 8v8 please.

methinks that 8v8 will be worse than 6v6 at the moment.
how long did it take for them to realise 6v6 was a bad idea?
now they finally made it ok, they are going to change it back to 8v8 with dumb mechanics designed for 6v6, turning 8v8 into spikein321 321 321 321 ggkthnx baii

Please remove Kill Count and the format in HoH right now before going forward to 8 vs 8.
Let's think about 10+ people body blocking a relic runner in HoH and nobody can capture the points in capture stands map because there's so many people. That's gay.

First, I would like to thank you for posting. It is very reassuring to see Anet replying to posts in the PvP forums.
On a different note, I do not believe the poll results are as close as you are saying.I have taken the liberty of compiling poll results from 5 different forms. (3 English and 2 German)

When looking at the overall totals, there is over a 15% difference, in favor of 8v8, when comparing the results for 6v6 to 8v8. This is statistically speaking and I do not see it as that close of a vote. Though, this all comes down to what one defines close as. I wish I would have been able to find more poll's results to add to this data, but I was not able to find any more forums which a Guild Wars moderator had set up a poll. In any case, I hope these results helps people see what the current stats of 8v8 vs 6v6 are on a larger scale than compared to just viewing one forum.
Poll Results as of: March 14, 2007

I am not under the same belief as you. In 8v8 there is much more room for variation than compared to 6v6. Taking this into account, even if spikes become abundant it will be much easier to design counters to the builds due to the increased party size.

By all means you are entitled to your opinion but doing the math and timing I would put money on it that you experienced the 8v8 test week only. Which of course everyone knows is a joke because of the kill count so you never actually got to see many balance builds.

Quitting the game does not constitute a vote, and as such, you should not imply that empty districts or ex-players are of any consequence to a voting poll.

Condisering how little the poll will actually affect anet's decisions, I'd say quitting the game is as good a vote as any. Yea I'd like to see 8v8 come back, but I seriously doubt anyone cares.

Based on personal experience, its logical to assume that many of the people who voted for 6v6 rarely ever play HA, I think many people here will agree with me as well.

Yes.
R6 = 1K fame, so ~4 fame a day for the past 8 months if you are pugging? One can probably get their wolf <1 month with non-pugs. (I'm not talking about low-quality hardcore "farmers" that get 3 fame/run and just spend 20hrs/day playing HA. I am talking about high-quality groups that gets >70 fames/run for like i.e. 3 sunday mornings and like 2 wednesday nights.)
Then ofcus you think 6v6 is better because you probably got your r6 via the 6v6 system (last 8 months) and you never really exprienced 8v8. You need to understand that most (not all) HA-ers who are "whinning"/leaving (because Anet ignored them for awhile) about 6v6 are exprienced 8v8-ers and most of them got their kitty a year ago or so.
HA is not a middle child between RA/TA and GVG because it has its unique (used to be fun) competitive 8v8 sytem since the birth of GW. If anet wants a middle child then they might as well make a new area for 6v6 and leave HA alone. Why fix something that was not broken?

How can you possibly apply your private life to the public? This is nothing more than a perfect example ideographic thinking. It is completely illogical to assume that many of the people who voted for 6v6 rarely ever play HA simply due to the fact you have not asked all the voters, nor is there any way for you to positively find out. Nomothetic reasoning/thinking is what is needed here and life in general.
Saying that it is any way logical is absurd and is just as "logical" as saying white people who drive white cars are racist.

Saying that constitutes as a vote is like saying everyone who killed themselves last year voted for candidate A, while everyone who left the country voted for candidate B. No. It is not a vote because they did not vote. And those who left the game without choosing an option and clicking "vote" did not vote either. With this kind of inane logic, one would get a speeding ticket for not speeding.

Personal experience = almost everyone who I know of that has experience in HA prefers 8v8, almost everyone who regularly posts in this section of the forum supports 8v8. You can try to deny it if you want but the simple fact is that 8v8 is a better format for reasons that have been posted 100 times, experienced people see these reasons and understand that the game moe should be 8v8.
