MH vs EW (CT Round 8 - Game 3)
Another Asp classic recording.
http://files.filefront.com/MH_vs_EW_.../fileinfo.html
Sadly due to my recent move I wasn't able to play in any of the more recent MH CT games. Watching this one most definately kept me on the edge of my seat. Truly intense, epic battle.
Great game EW, but I will say one thing: Ryse > Your split.
Enjoy!

lol. yeah, my favorite part of the match was watching Ryse and their split. i find the small battles within the large battles to be the most fun to watch.
very fun match to watch.

I was moderately disappointed to see MH running the summa-metagame 2 melandru hexway. Nonetheless, an amazing battle of two great teams, and a pleasure to watch.
The music choice was lacking, IMO, save perhaps for Rob Zombie. That techno or new age w/e makes me rage. GG.

we've been running double migraine double disrupting dagger dervs since the first round of the celestial tournament, this time we just replaced the smiter (such bandwagon!) with a ranger since, to be quite honest, no one wanted to play a smiter again. Plus having 9 interrupts was cool.
So its not like we were relying on huge imba degen hex stacks to kill stuff/stay alive, since we didn't have the reapers mark necro, which is really what is so awful about the hex game right now anyway.

(You were waiting for that I figured and no one from MH took the bait, so here ya go :P)
Anyway, downloading now...should be pretty amazing if JR was on the edge of his seat. And I'm intrigued about Ryse and the split ^^

Granted. Reaper's mark is a big problem because it's too easy. The two migraine seems a bit risky in this physically dominated metagame, but it seems like you guys are doing okay by it.

It's not a regular build of ours by any means. Like Phel said - it was a build we put together to counter [Doc], the first guild we were supposed to face in the CT. They seemed to play a lot of caster based gimmicks, thus the dual migraines and interrupts. We scrimmed with it a few times, and possibly a couple of ladder games, but that's about it.
Expecting EW to run an 8v8 caster gimmick it seemed like a good choice, sadly they then pulled out split on corrupted. Good guesswork by them, bad guesswork by us.

The multiple Purge Sigs in the second & third games of the match definitely slowed it as well.
