They are called assassins for a reason, if they would give the same pressure as a warrior then the assassin can better be removed.
And 1 block/miss screws up the whole combo, use Aegis/Guardian or even some stance. Or just blind them

Well thats fine can heal one...but the problem in random arenas when you get two? What can you do.

I run on my monk:

ROF, Zealous benediction, Spirit bond, SoD, Dismiss, Shielding hands, Holy veil and hex breaker.

This normally makes me fine coz i prevail and have hex breaker.
So you think that it should be nerfed because 2 of those can actually pressure your monk.

Imagine how I or anyone else feels when playing arenas and being completely and utterly unable to kill Zealous Benediction monks because they can spam 200 HP heals for free.

95% of builds out there have no chance of taking that build of yours down, and you wanna nerf one of the few builds that can, in case there are 2 of them?

Yes, they are, that doesn't make them a good idea, and it doesn't make them balanced either. The entire class reeks of the "overpowered if it works, useless if it doesn't" design failures of Factions in general. They were designed to pander to scrubs who wanted easy kills against bad players without worrying about adrenaline building, and in the case of SP, pander to scrubs who didn't want to worry about kiting or positioning either. The whole class is Melee for Dummies.

If you want to beat ZB in the arenas, you don't need a universal I Win button, you need an interrupt, daze, or SoH.

ZB has issues as well, it's not justified by broken crap like a caster spike you can fit in one character slot.

Its balanced, if your a good monk you can survive 2 BoA, and one BoA easily. There are tons of counters to this build. Because your team in RA might allow the assasain to continue to pressure you every 20 seconds is not a reason to nerf it.

This thread of full of people wating to nerf BoA because they can't beat it. IF it helps, theres plenty of ways to beat it. all you need is reflexes slightly better than a diseased ape and human intellegence. Look, if a BoA is able to spike a necromancer with two sup runes in RA its not your fault, and its not the BoA's fault because the nec didn't realize 425 hp isnt that great.

So please, this comes from a monks perscective. I have more trouble with a Braod head arrow condition ranger or thumper than i do with a BoA. BoAs a simply a noobie friendly build that will exist on some class somewhere no matter what you nerf. minus well let it exist on the assasian.

This sounds so very much like complain threads about touch rangers. they've all gone away since Anet added a counter skill nobody uses on a class nobody uses. AB used to be filled with touchies. now its not. BoA is the new touchie and i can accept that. I can understand that people will continue to whine, and whine untill a build that wasn't actually overpowered is nerfed.

and if your really really emotionally hurt about being pwned by BoA's in AB just use a ranger with block stances and plauge touch already,Even if he has expose defenses for 9 mana you can send 3 conditions back the way they came. and necs have enchant removal options as well you can exploit to prevent heals and then own the sin. If you dont have the HP to survive the raw dmg from the assns attack PLEASE STOP USEING SUPIEOR RUNES.

Also i belive another monk mentioned SoR as a good option to stop BoA. He's very right, if you want a monk easy button for stopping BoA use sheilding hands and SoR, or SoA if your preprot skills are good
( they aren't if your having trouble with BoA).

monk build I use that has no trouble with Sins

life bond
gift of health
dismiss condition
Sheild of Regeneration
Sheild of Absorbtion or sheilding hands
bessed Signet
Balthazar's Spirit
Glyph of lesser energy

stops physical and elemental damage real easy at the price of being prey to hexes and enchant removal.
(P.S. this is a RA only build. If you coudn't figure it out on your own.)

So anyways please stop whining already about things that can easily be beaten. And if the only thing that bothers you is the lack of skill taken to play this build then please, feel supeior and trash talk any BoA you beat. You'll feel better i promise.

if anything sins need more in PvP, the only build anyone ever sees anymore is SPBoA, because not much else is usable. Sins only have 4 attacks that anyone uses in a spike, and everyone uses them all the time. Its become so common that its nearly impossible to go against a monk because of all the counters they set up.

Warriors can still use the skill as intended, and assassins don't have an unconditional IAS. They now need to choose between Frenzy (ouch), Flurry (low damage) or Flail (needs preperation, although not a bad alternative)


The problem about BoA sins, is not longer the SP since its quite a good level atm. Its their IAS with absolutely no penalties. 12sec recharge syncs great with their dagger skills, and SP takes 20 secs anyway.
flurry only takes away 2-3 damage on assassins hits anyway, so be my guest and nerf BoA to outside sources.

But please, PLEASE dont call assassins a one trick profession. The COMMUNITY of assassins has one trick, but assassins can do so much more... they just can't see that and never use the other effective builds. I do agree they need more than just spiking in PvP though... probably about 75% of assassin skills are never used. ever.
