I haven't found this to be true. I may only have started ABing again the last few days, but usually luxons get in first time around or shortly thereafter most times of the day.

I'm Luxon, and I'm constantly having to wait around 10 minutes to AB, and everybody is always yelling that the kurzies are wussies, or something like that. I also sometimes AB with a Kurzick friend of mine, and yes they have to wait much longer then us luxons, but we all have to wait. I definitely think AB needs more servers, as it ssems that there is always more then enough Luxons and Kurzicks to start a game or two, but instead we have to wait...and wait...and wait...

I have two accounts, one Kursick and one Luxon, sometimes I check if there are opposing teams available and waiting on my other computer, there usually are, so some other resource must be lacking eg. servers. The long 30sec countdown is a sign of something not right. 10 sec would be enough for player to shout stop if they weren't ready.

I'm Luxon, and I often have to wait for opposing teams.
Though it doesn't help that I'm often using International servers to join up w/ allies & guildmates.

I was a diehard Kurzick for months. I racked up about 300k faction in AB, everything... then a few friends FINALLY pursuaded me to go Luxon.
Kurzick - Wait 15-30 minutes for 1 game
Luxon - Wait 5 minutes, TOPS (worst conditions); go from 1 game immediately into the next.
My experience with the Kurz-Lux is that there are atleast 5 Kurzicks to every 1 Luxon player. The ratio is thrown off SO badly that it causes Kurzicks to wait FOREVER to get into one game. It took me 5 hours to make 10k Kurz faction (straight ABing). It took me about 1 to make the same amount on Luxon side. It's rediculous.
If you like ABing and don't care about armour, go Luxon.

i am really sick of waiting to enter a battle for 30 minutes. even if kurzick is overcrowded, Anet should do SOMETHING about it, whether it be make more servers, or make the Luxon alliance sound better or something. Make it be like "only experienced players AB for the Luxons." Then it'll at least get balanced, which is all i care for. stupid nomadic tribes!

I once managed to throw together FRAPS clips into Windows Movie Maker, and make a short Oblivion movie before I got into an AB. 40 minute wait anyone?

There are more Kurzick guilds, I believe, because
1) You meet up with the Kurzicks earlier in the game
2) Crazy emo people.
3) We all know what Luxon rhymes with.

When you go into a Luxon district to see if the problem is people, don't count the number of people, count the number of 4s over people's heads. Each battle takes three of those 4s. You get a lot of people standing around not in groups, or groups of 2 or 3 but not 4, which really cuts down on the number of battles happening at one time.

Amber+FF/FFF Lutgardis Running > Jade
Simply stated.
There is no exact explanation, alot of the luxon armor is unappealing in many aspects for most classes along with the fact that FF/FFF is a complete money maker along with 2000 points of faction per 45 seconds. That is unbeatable beyond belief, nor do I expect this entire thing to change if FF/FFF ever got nerfed.

Lately, most of the really long start times are caused by the battle line moving, causing the active map to change without actually doing anything to the people already in an outpost other than forcing them to sit and wait.
Next time you wait 10 tries for a game, hit M and see if things look a bit different from when you joined.

Does that work for pvp created chars too? Hope it does, I've been in that situation twice, wasted a lot of time.

Yes. You can check the battle line from any AB outpost, Aspenwood, or Jade Quarry.
If you're suspicious that it's the cause, the easiest way to check is to just go to your guild hall and come back. If it winds up on a different map, you have your answer.
