Myth #179: "6v6 takes more skill than 8v8"
Hell no, individual skill is only more important in 6v6, and this is because working as a team is less important. And build matters more, relative to skillful execution, in 6v6 than it does in 8v8. To illustrate, think about how things work on the extreme ends. If there's a 1v1 match, all that matters is what build the contestants take. You just second-guess what your opponent will bring and hope you're right. But in a theoretical 100v100 match though, there are all kinds of weird strategies in play and you basically just have to come prepared for anything as far as builds go. Individual skill is totally insignificant compared to the ability to follow directions and work as a unit. And yet, in both a 1v1 and a 100v100 setting, the tests on your individual skill are pretty much the same. Either you can pound on your skillbar and think and act and react, or you can't.
Since Guild Wars is at the core a teamwork game more than a rock-paper-scissors game, I want a format that encourages teamwork. I want 8v8.

1. What part of Gaile's post don't you understand. If you don't play HA, and don't care about it, don't discuss.
2. Why are you so hung up on the monk thing? Personally, I wouldn't choose monks based so much on what is suitable for your team as much as what is best against the meta. But please, if you think you have a good monk build that no one uses, post it, and let us know.

Well i just want to highlight a couple of things you said. Hum where so start. Well firstly if you dont care about tombs then why are you here. You say you only care about the future but how do you create a possitive future if you dont use the past. As for experiance, can you give me some examples please, proper ones btw for example why i have explained how 6v6 doesnt work ect which supports this claim. Also dude erm? monking, when did that come into the equation lol, i think your on about some other post or something. Because firstly i dont use standard monk bars in HA to a certain extent. I modify it as much as possible regarding what build im running in order to get maximum efficiency. Iv stated my reasons for why kill count wont work btw, please read them. Yes with some things there are two answers, right or wrong. For kill count theres only one logical reason for it, an that is get rid of it and i have explained over and over again. Lastly its not as tatical as alter map and relies on ganking promotes spike, thats all ill say for now. And lastly again, please tell me why im outdated, still a bit unsure about that random outburst.

I strongly prefer 8v8 because there are much more builds available and its more fun to do.
I hope you change the kill counts on broken and courtyard too because its impossible to run a decent balanced or pressure build.

I don't care about tombs, but this post isn't about tombs for your infomation, it is about HA. Read the topic before u post pls. And i don't see tomb has anything to do with possitive future, cuz it is all about HA. Tomb is the past, there is no tomb pvp now, so u r outdated. As for you, sir, my friend, I play HA ever since Tomb like Death from Above keeps on talking bout just want to let you know. This post isn't about build, it is about HA poll. I am selfish, and I don't have a build to share with you. Just make your own build, don't be lazy, observe how ppl win HOH. I am not hug up on the monk thing, but Death from Above was talking about everyone playing the same monk build, maybe i got him wrong, but well, just my opinion.

Oh thats what you meant about being out dated lol. Ah ye i must apologize for the tombs bit, force of habbit i guess lol. Swicth between tombs an HA sometimes but really i mean the same thing which is HA, but thats just to clear up the confusion. So anyways in light of what i have said, i hope you now realise i was talking about the current HA whether i said tombs or HA. And just one last thing id like to clear up, i dont flame. I may type something because i feel i need to type something being that some people talk obviously without thinking or knowing what their on about. Well I have been playing for two years and I still occasionally refer to Halls as Tombs, out of remembrance of the old days I suppose. New players wouldn't know that you once advanced to Hall of Heroes through Tomb of the Primeval Kings. Doh! Just had to point that out. LOL

I like the name Tombs more than HA so I still sometimes call it Tombs -.-
Question for Gaile:
Are you going to keep these mechanics or you're planning to change/fix/improve, maybe even make new maps with new objectives? People are kind of bored of this after 2 years.

Tombs was a much nicer waiting area. Besides how fugly HA is its annoying when you load in on that slant and have to run to turn your camera to see who is there.
Tombs makes me think of the good old days. HA makes me think of this RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing retarded, not yet removed 6v6.
