@ Byron: Stonefist is an insignia, so you can fit another rune on that stand warrior.
I like the reduce cripple rune since it helps in a variety of situations, especially against lava and Return monks. Reduce blind is nice if you have space for it, but more often I use a strength rune to hit breakpoints on skills.

I'll let you think your extra 10 health will save you when you screw up and get jumped, and my warrior will save his monk's energy in fights I should be in. Fundamentally, you are planning on covering your ass when you make errors, and JR is planning on helping his team win even when his wars don't screw up.

Yes, but a top 20 monk knows a hell of a lot more about the game than a rank 300 warrior. JR has a crapload of high end experience and is well known for his knowledge of the game. Calling him out makes about as much sense as the time when you tried to convince QQ you knew more about warriors than their entire frontline...and got flamed for being a theorycrafting nub. Or perhaps the time you tried to convince tommy he was using the wrong gear...and got flamed for being a theorycrafting nub. Or perhaps the time you tried to convince ensign running sup runes was a good thing...and got flamed for being a theorycrafting nub. Notice a pattern?
Finally, didn't JR say the reason he preferred reduc condis is because they save monks energy?

Valid reasoning. An extra 20 health would be nice sometimes.

Not sure if you're just joking, but it's not really valid reasoning when PvP chars are so flexible.

Yeah, I wasn't serious. Sorry you didn't load the match yesterday, btw. Somehow managed to get decent pressure on us with only one waru.

No one's mentioned that full Vitaes lets you run a Major instead of a Minor weapon rune. On a stand warrior, that's much more useful than the few times my cripple or blind doesn't get drawn off me in 6 seconds' time.
If there's no draw or self-condition removal in your build, Clarity runes would make sense. When an RC gets pressured there's no hope in getting your blinds removed.
And I shouldn't have to say this but rank comparison is pointless flamebait. Gus has made many valid points. If you can't figure out who's right without referencing their guild's rank ... well ... GG.

You used to be able to switch armor pieces, swaping the sup for a minor when you had DP (i.e. boots).

there is no health penalty on sup absorb, unless you mean the -10 penalty for not using a vitae...
