My R/W Stance Tank (axe) build hacks sins to pieces, though they're frequently mobile enough to escape unless I take action to prevent them from doing so.
I tinker with a R/M Smite Toucher (many smites are "skills" and use that expertise) with SoJ and other knockdown powers. Wield a Razajan's Fervor (or totem axe) and a smite focus, and use serpent's quickness.
Sin attacks while I hit with Spear of light for X2 dmg = 95 dmg
Sin hits my SoJ and falls down = 50 dmg
Stone Soul Strike while sin is on the ground = 95 dmg
Total = 240 damage *that ignores armor*
Inexperienced players, or even decent ones who are just suprised by what just happened, often attack more than once...

I have to comment even if it's a bit long. While most of this is just personal opinion and by no means a personal attack, here I go.
Stance tanks are generally not such a great idea in PvP and AB happens to be PvP. To keep up your blocking stances, you generally have to forgo attack skills and add several defensive stances. If you actually take time to find a solid balanced team, your build should bring something to that team. Wild blow or rigor mortis or expose defenses etc. would immediately render you completely worthless (dead) and this doesn't take in account your inability to kill people efficiently (not saying your build suffers from that as I don't know it but in general, stance tanks miss out on some of the necessary damage skills.) That applies to other things as well such as earth ele tanks and perhaps to a slightly lesser degree - shadow form/flashing blades Sin. Plenty of other examples though.
As for your R/Mo smiter, well... to be honest, there isn't too much difference in using that over a normal monk smiter with a higher energy pool - expertise only comes into play with stone soul strike if I'm not mistaken. A monk smiter will have a higher smiting prayers as a benefit. Monk smiters in PvP normally aren't the SoJ type AFAIK and instead run judge's insight, smite hex etc and support another teammate which in turn let's them decimate the opposing team. Not to mention, SoJ has an insane recharge rate even with serpent's quickness given the speed of AB if you are unlucky and don't trigger HSR. That being said, you should play what you have fun with but don't expect everyone to love and support your build. A lot of people run wacky stuff in AB just for fun.
Back to the original subject: BoA Sins worked. In fact, they still kind of work but you don't use burst of aggression anymore. You switch some skills around and use tiger stance. You can throw up expose defenses for even greater joy especially with the current dynamic of defensive stances. AB players don't always choose a balanced party that can handle things like a BoA sin. Plus, there are plenty of "solo cappers" the BoA sins loved to prey on.
@hhslf - You don't lose the title even if you switch sides I believe. You can even parade your Friend to the Kurzicks title in the AB Luxon waiting room.

Cool thanks, ill look into that.
Everyday there are more stance tanks because, other player will run worse builds that DON'T counter stance tanks. So the stance tank thinks it cool to stand there and widdle away the others players health while he is blocking everything.

Hmm, try running a warrior in AB without backup healing. It's not strange that people bring some defense. Try a shock/frenzy warrior in a random team and you are more or less doomed. I always have a slot left anyway without a res sig, so shield stance mostly goes in there when I AB.

I had some success against sins yesterday running a mesmer heavily packed with enchantment removals and empathy. They tend to trigger empathy effects really fast :] Of course the build was not perfect, and kinda useless against Ne/E and other casters. But sins loved it (and did some WaMo too).

Well, because so much attention has been sparked from this thread, I made a mesmer for the first time ever just as an Ineptitude mes. I solely went looking for assassins and they couldn't stand a chance .

Sins in AB are easy to play because they spike, die, repeat. With no DP, then they just kill 1 person at a time.

Assassins die very, very quickly to a [skill]Insidious Parasite[/skill] + [skill]Enfeeble[/skill]. I think only 10% of the Assassins I fight stop attacking when they are affected by that combo. The other 90%...well....
