No new classes.
More imba skills.
Probably some really horrible gvg map based on tunnels, a horrible imba map like jade and a nice map.

I'm betting on the imba map and the horrible GvG map based on tunnels to be the same thing. It'll just be one tunnel connecting the teams, forcing you to fight 8v8 every single time no matter what.

Nightfall added 25 skills per core profession (10 elites + 15 normals), exactly the same added Factions. Even if they "canceled" the chapter 4, and "canceled" the new 2 professions, they must already have done the 25 skills per core, maybe? BUT, I am thinking they could reserve some very good elites or something for GW2?
BTW, on topic, remember this thread is about what GW:EN add to PvP; I don't think the skills is a real "addition" to PvP, or at least, is not enough for a expansion pack (in terms of PvP) SPECIALLY, if this will be the last big expansion to this game.

Guild Wars 2 won't come out till 2008-2009, and it will have very little to do with GW1. Most likely all skills in GWII willbe new, so that's highly unlikely.

I go so far as to say that PvP in general is on the decline. It seems no one wants to wage war anymore.
I doubt GW:EN does much for competitive play. More elites that are gimped or buffed versions of already existing elites. Some will be broken and abused for a month or two until anet 'balances' them. Monks will claim that some elites are great when they are really trash (ahem, glimmer). And the arenas will be flooded with scrubby assassins that are convinced that they are the pinnacle of greatness because they can kill the master of healing.

NeHoMaR, I don't think they aren't making new professions (no I cannot cite that).

they will probably max out the pvp gayness with imba shit like RaO, SF, SP and wait months to balance the game to push people to buy EN as they did with NF.

Probably a poorly thought out PvP type that they claim will be amazing (see HvH), but in reality makes you sad that someone got paid to make it.

Well, with only half the number of new imba skills, clearly the meta will only be destroyed for 3 months this time.
Seriously though, the worst offenders were the new classes. Rit spirit spammers, Paragons, Grenth dervishs. No new classes = I'm not that worried. There will be problems but not nearly of the same magnitude.

Searing Flames Eles, Spiritual Pain mesmers, Rampage as One thumpers?
Don't kid yourself, the old professions had the same crap happen. The difference is, the old professions still had people playing balanced builds - hence there was a half-thought that since every ele isn't SF, it can't be that bad etc. With new professions, the onlything anybody ever did was abuse the **** out of the imba stuff, nobody ever tried to play them in a balanced way so it looks horrible for them.
