Major monk question...help?
Ok so Ive been doing HA recently and I have a major monk problem. When in HA, I heal just fine in the first battle against the Zaishens, no matter what build I use. However on the next battle against real players I also heal just fine. Problem is, I get spiked EVERY time (meaning each char gangs up on me) and then my team tells me I suck. So um, what can I do to prevent from getting spiked?

You got a number of options when faced with a situation like this.
In my opinion your best friend is kiting. Just run away. As soon as you see warriors/thumpers/even eles targeting you, get away from them.
If they do manage to get to you and your playing a healing monk, you really have to rely on the other monks in your team, your prot must prot you up, and if you have another healer its their job to heal you up. You can heal yourself up as well, but most of the time it wont do much as well if the other monks dont do anything. If people are telling you that you suck because of it dont listen to them. Blame the other monks.
If your playing protection on the other hand you can do more. If running away is out of the question throw a prot spirit or a spirit bond on yourself, and then maybe a shielding hands or a shield of absorbtion. This should reduce the damage you take giving your healer a chance to get you back to full health.
Don't get put down by nubs telling you, you suck because you died. If you die its usually because:
-You fall behind.
-You overextend.
-You get spiked because the other monks suck.
-You degen because the other monks suck.

If you are the prot monk, pre-prot yourself and the infuser all the time.
If you are the infuser, stay in the back and pray. Try not to take number 8 when they order the party.

First of all halls is a waste of your time now, you shouldn't play, if you are determined to waste your time with halls you might want to learn a few things. From what you have described it appears that you are either not kiting, properly or the prot monk is stuck making red bars go up.

I shall refer you to the best monk in the game:
Nadia Rorak
Pm him and he will teach you the ways to become the mostest bestest monk of all time. He has been on 60 minutes, Larry King Live and there is going to be a documentary about him.

You may also want to PM Legendary Dryder, if you want to be the best at infusing.

Wow, thank you very much, maybe he can help. But why is a GW player on Larry King, and having a documentary made about him?

Just because you're the one who died doesn't mean it was your fault. It could be; watch where you are in relation to the opponet and your team. If this isn't it, keep playing, you'll learn how to monk better and better. Get a microphone and voice communication to give the backline the information they need. Get a guild and play with them, I can't tell you how much easier it is to monk when the other monks know what they're doing.

There's nothing you can do. Monks are priority targets in HA, and if you just happen to be the infuser, then you'll have to sit back and hope that the prot monks are doing their job. If it's just random people attacking you, then kite around until they give up. I usually bring balanced stance and shield bash when I'm infusing, they do wonders against retarted thumpers.
If they tell you that you suck, just ignore them. No single person can ruin an entire HA team, and usually the non-monk players place all the blame on the monks so that they can feel better about themselves. If you plan to remain as a monk in HA, then you have to keep one fact in mind: Monks never get love. If you're doing a good job keeping people alive, your team mates won't even notice. If you messed up and somebody died, they'll start insulting you. Monks only get all the hate =P.

Your survivability depends on many factors that you can’t control, but you can take some action to reduce damage:- Stay in range of your team and especially your other monk(s)
- Start running before they can reach you.
- Pre-veil and keep Protective Spirit on yourself.
- Use health armor, don’t use sup runes, and equip a defensive weaponset: sword/axe/spear of defense + shield of fortitude with +10AL vs X

It's ok. If I ever die while monking, I always blame the other monks, even if I was 3 aggro circles away trying to go 1v8 against a SF team. WHERE'S THE LONG DISTANCE INFUSE? NOOBZZZZZ!!! *whispers leader to kick other monks*

These are some good points, but I have to ask..
Right now, I use +energy on my armor, with a fortitude mod on sword..
Using +health armor takes me down to 35 energy with a sword/shield equipped, which I normally use.. is it just my lack of monk skillz that means I suck with this low energy? :/
Is there a significant difference between the 30hp you get from armor and using a +7 armor on your sword instead? :/

IMO don't ever run nrg armor / sup runes in pvp.
If you can't monk under sword + shield, maybe you should get a normal offhand (20 +30 for prot / 20/20 for heal).
I usually have 1 normal set 1 (with offhand), 1 normal set 2 (with shield), 1 high energy set, and 1 low energy set.

You have four weaponsets: defense, emergency, efficiency/negative, and primary set. You should swap weapons depending on the skills you use and your situation. An alternative to a shield that can provide both energy and defense is a focus: +12 energy +5AL vs X +30hp.

Unconditional +5AL defense mod is better compared to +7AL vs X. Choosing between +5AL vs +30hp depends on your situation. On my negative set (Crippling Cleaver of Fortitude + Forgotten Fan) I always have +30hp because mesmer damage is armor ignoring, but I keep +5AL on my defense set as a default that I can switch to +30hp if needed.
