alliance battles need a huge makeover imho... but seeing as anet is busy with other things (ch4 and GW2) it will probably never happen.

well... seems that pestilence/laceration/ toxiscity needs to be changed so it only works agains ememies. but then again all along if the mm died the minions went wild. if a guild or something wanted to hijack aspenwood they could:
Have several low hp eles with burning speed
pestilence /lac/tox ranger
mm with sacs
the eles would burn themselfs to death, ranger makes spirits. mm makes minions and dies. gg gunther.

If pestilence/lacerate/toxicity worked only on enemies, they wouldn't be like the other ranger spirits which affect everyone.

Pestilence is the only one that needs a function change. Without Pestilence the other spirits work as intended and harmless to most.

I highly doubt Pestilence is going to be changed just because of griefing potential. EOE with saccers used to do the same thing, until they changed it... which wasn't really because of griefing as much as edge-bomb teams.
Nature rituals always have griefing potential because they're the only thing you can truly hurt your own team with, and they are not going to play whack-a-mole until the griefing builds go away.
Before someone figured out you could use pestilence, you could still do this:

Well, I wouldn't call this just a Fort Aspenwood glitch. The scope is really big, and this seems pretty bad...Wowwie.
Interesting exploit, though...I've always wanted to be a Necro and sac other people, hehe.

Yes you could, but it was rather minor in comparison to this. At least those spirits were just annoying and not game ending. With this you can end a round.

That would be a solution. If you gave them healing breeze or something else to heal themselves it would help. As of now they can only heal themselves with protective spirit.

They only cast PS and Heal Other. They can't heal themselves. (Honestly, it's best that it stays that way, Gunther's room with a monk is already a zergfest).

rofl you all know that the luxons reading this are writing down notes incase we get too many bonders one night, or we have too many leechers, or if we just want to annoy you. But all I have to say is this: wtf was that necro TRYING to do when he decided to bleed the monks to death?!
(oh gameplan! take necros snap open the gates and bleed the monks and gunther!)

You can also use this exploit to take the mines for the kurzick from the luxon side. It is not game breaking, but it sure is annoying.

If this exploit impacted GvG in any way you can bet it would be fixed faster than you can blink your eyes. Since it doesn't, its unlikely anything will be done. Anet only cares about GvG. The rest of the PvP formats take a back seat despite the fact that combined they are far more popular than GvG.
The list of bugs for Aspenwood is long. Anet wants more people to PvP but when they start out in casual PvP they get a far less than enjoyable experience and never come back.

So, killing your own team mates is an exploit?

EOE only helps the Luxons if it kills Gunther. Too often it'll just wipe out the warrior packs, kill all of the players, leave all of the NPCs alive, and just waste lots of time.

Lol, this is a funny thread. The funny thing about fort aspenwood, is that its possible to "solo" it with healing hands, and healing seed + a few other skills.

No, the funny thing about Aspenwood is that the best way to win it is to play an E/D earth tank, bring Glyph of Concentration, and tank the warriors for the entire match. That or just terrain-exploit them so they get stuck on the wall.
<3 awful bugs.
