GvG Team 2... Pressure! Please R and R.
Our first GvG Team went fine... but we thought we needed a bit different. It was so difficult to coordinate perfectly timed adrenaline spikes in a spike build. So now we came up with a PRESSURE build, which uses the same basics as our first build, but changes many midliners.
FRONTLINE:
------------------------------------------------------------------
Crippling Slash/Conjure Warrior- W/E
Role : Frontline Melee Spiker/Crippler/Soloer
12+1+1 Swordsmanship - 8+1 Strength - Water 10
Crippling Slash (E)
Gash
Sun and Moon Slash
Bull's Strike
Frenzy
Rush
Conjure Frost
Ressurection Signet
Role: Extreme melee pressure and spiker. Conjure + Frenzy can rip apart a caster in a few seconds, not to mention powerful adrenaline spike skills. Also responsible for spamming crippling slash around the place.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Conjure/Eviscerate Axe
W/E 12+1+1 Axe Mastery 8+1 Strength 10 Air
Rush
Frenzy
Conjure Lightning
Bull's Strike
Eviscerate (E)
Executioner's Strike
Critical Chop
Ressurection Signet
Role: Extreme melee pressure/spiker. See Above. Eviscerate combo with a conjure can easily knock off 2/3 of a full hp bar.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
MIDLINE:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Expel Hexes/Support Paragon
10+1+1 Leadership 10+1 Spear Mastery 10+1 Command
Expel Hexes (E)
Aggressive Refrain
Go For The Eyes!
Anthem of Flame
Mirror of Disenchantment
Spear of Lightning
Merciless Spear
Wild Throw
Ressurection Signet
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Role: Primary hex removal, with the powerful skill expel hexes, which is unlinked. Also removes aegis with mirror of disenchantment. Otherwise, aggressive refrain is a permanant IAS, which is kept up by spamming Go for the Eyes! and Anthem of Flame. This paragon can also spike, by using Spear of Lightning > Wild Throw > and Merciless Spear.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
E/Rt Water Snarer/Support Spiker/ Runner
12+1+1 Water 8+1 Energy Storage 10 Restoration
Freezing Gust
Icy Shackles (E)
Blurred Vision
Water Attunement
Glyph Of Lesser Energy
Weapon of Warding
Wielder's Boon
Armor of Mist
Your typical Icy Shackles flag runner. Icy shackles, freezing, and blurred are effective melee hate, and even more hexes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Migraine Mesmer Me/Mo
10+1+1 Illusion 10+1 Inspiration 10+1 Fast Casting
Migraine (E)
Conjure Phantasm
Ether Phantom
Signet of Humility
Power Drain
Power Return
Mantra of Persistence
Ressurection Chant
The ever popular migraine mesmer. In this build, his one and sole job is to stop whichever player is using either divert hexes or more commonly expel hexes, Since the current meta calls for a LoD monk and a RC Monk. Signet of Humility can be used, but since both are 1 second cast times, with Migraine they become 2, which is interrupt heaven for power return. Power drain is used for E-Management, Conjure P. is further pressure + Cover Hex, and Ether phantom is another cover hex.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Reaper's Mark Necro-
12+1+1 Soul Reaping 12+1 Curses
Reaper's Mark (E)
Faintheartedness
Price of Failure
Reckless Haste
Parasitic Bond
Glyph of Lesser Energy
Signet of Lost Souls
Ressurection Signet
Role: Main job is to spread massive degeneration and melee hate. Reapers Mark > Faintheartedness > Parasitic Bond is spammed to apply -9 degeneration to as many people as possible. GoLE followed by Reckless Haste and Price of Failure is further long lasting melee hate. Signet of Lost Souls is further E-Management.
NOTE- I Think this build needs more enchant removal. Therefore, I'm thinking of replacing reckless haste and parasitic with something like envenom enchantments, rend enchantments, rip enchantments, chillblains, etc. You experts please comment on this.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
BACKLINE:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
RC Monk- Mo/E
Protection Prayers- 11+1+1 - Divine Favor 10+1 10+1 Heal
Restore Condition (E)
Reversal of Fortune
Gift Of Health
Shield of Absorbtion
Dismiss Condition
Holy Veil
Glyph of Lesser Energy
Aegis
Role: Typical RC Monk. Gift of Health for healing, etc. Aegis is used as often as possible, to give the party a 10 second or so breather.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
LoD/Infuse - Mo/A
Healing 12+1+1 - Divine Favor 9+1 - Protection 9+1
Signet Of Rejuvenation
Light of Deliverance (E)
Infuse Health
Dwayna's Kiss
Protective Spirit
Holy Veil
Dark Escape
Return
Role: Typical shadow arts infuse monk. Keep party high with Light of Deliverance, and heal spikes with infuse. Signet of rejuvenation is used for costless healing in non-critical situations. Dwayna's is used for further healing, Protective Spirit to negate spikes, etc. When targeted, use either return or dark escape to get away.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Team goal:
The two warriors with conjures immediately go off and put heavy pressure on the enemy.
The paragon proceeds to IAS himself, and then start SPAMMING anthem of flame and Go For The Eyes!, giving him great energy, and greatly increasing pressure. He removes critical hexes with expel hexes, and can also spike effectively, as well as adding pressure through his normal spear attacks.
The migraine mesmer then shuts down either their 1.)Critical Hex Removal, or 2.) Light of Deliverance Monk, with migraine and signet of humility.
The reaper's mark necro proceeds to apply huge degeneration to as much of the team as possible, and to severely hamper warriors.
The icy shackles elementalist, while not running flags, uses icy shackles, freezing gust, and blurred to further frustrate warriors.
If effective, the enemy team should be getting ripped to shreads by the two conjure warriors, under heavy degeneration from the necro, be unable to remove hexes because of the migraine monk, and be unable to attack effectively because of faintheartedness, reckless haste, price of failure, blurred vision, icy shackles, freezing gust.
SPLIT:::
If we run into the need to split, this is how our split is going to be.
Team A:
Conjure/Crippling Slash Warrior
Reaper's Mark Necromancer
Migraine Mesmer
RC Monk
Team B:
Conjure/Eviscerate Warrior
Hex Removal/Support Paragon
Icy Shackles Flagger
LoD/Infuse

Having only one copy of aegis in the build is pretty pointless in my opinion. I would drop it and GoLE for some personal defense like dark escape and return. Also I would rather have spirit bond on that monk than SoA.

You definitely want one of the warriors to be split-capable, especially since you don't have a BA capable of doing so. Healsig on either one would suffice.
Your paragon has 9 skills. I'd remove Merciless, since it's pretty bad. A second hard rez goes well on the paragon, should you choose to want it. High command isn't necessary either; you can get away with 6+1 running a minor easily, since losing 8 armor from your pvp shield won't matter much. Having higher spear mastery than that is fairly important, though.
EPhantom is out of place on that Migraine bar. You can slot in a copy of Drain there as an enchant removal, but one change that should be made is Spirit of Failure - it's a shutdown hex that also serves as e-management that synergizes well with other chances to miss.
The build probably needs Aegis chained on the Infuser to stay up.
Mend touch absolutely needs to be on the RC where Dismiss is. I'd also put Prot Spirit instead of SoA and have Spirit Bond instead of PS on the infuser, although those two large prots are interchangable, depending on monk preferences.

For the necro, if you want enchantment stripping i'd suggest to change signet of lost souls to ench. removal.
Other things guys above said already

apart from what the guys above have said, it seems pretty dangerous to run all your condition removes on 1 guy (the rc) if he gets dazed hes gonna have a hard time against a good ranger even with mend touch.
not to mention what hapens in your split when the infuser gets conditions on him, take your pick from the usual condition stackers like broadhead/burning arrow/crip slash an u got problems, id give him a dismiss at least. my preference would be to run just a dark escape and take the dismiss.
also i dont think your necro needs 2 e-management skills, just the glyph should be enough, id put in another hex maybe vocal minority or an enchant remove like you wanted.

necro: I would replace signet of lost soulds with rotting flesh. This skill used wisely is what breaks teams. It also helps to even things up in vod if you end up with equal or less npcs.
Mes: Must run draw. it is not optimal and places some heavy load on the mes, but you must have a midline character that can clean your melee. Otherwise a single blinding surge will kill your build.
