Give me a r10 or under guild, that likes me and has me GvG all the time.
Otherwise it's all rubbish. But there are only a few weekend events I actually like so I don't bother wasting my time complaining anyways.

Guild Wars is so lazy, I mean come on put *2 next to a var in C file and hit make, I could replace the weekend event team with a shell script. Anet could should consider firing some of these people, and put the money to better uses.

Long-term benefit please?

Anet really should favor both pve and pvp on every weekend. For example, FoW/UW open + 2x GvG weekend. This should satisfy everyone's need. Therefore more ppl will be playing = less ppl will go play other games

Meaningless to me, but that's just me, I know for others it's great. I'll be just more pumped for the next PvE weekend.
It would kinda be nice if there was both a PvE and PvP aspect to weekend events though, but I won't complain. It's all gravy.

Hmm...this is like week 3 that doesn't cater to me (I honestly can't remember what the event was the weekend before last, but if it fits the pattern it was pvp oriented). Am I complaining? No...because the weekend events are Bonuses...more than the usual...can't please everyone all the time.
so like some one said...quitcherbitchen
I'm PvE Only but the lockpick weekend didn't work for me as I don't have enough money to spend it on a bunch of lockpicks hoping to raise my lucky or treasure hunter titles.

At least we can easily single them out.

Seems to me that I see four types of people:
1. People going "Woohoo" because they GvG
2. People going "Oh Well...not my kind of weekend" (indifferent)
3. People complaining that the weekend doesn't suit them (most don't say why, could be PvE...could be they go to HoH...or play in AB)
4. People complaining about all the PvE'ers that will complain about how Anet favors PvP over PvE
where were the people complaining that Anet Favors PvP again?
I would like to see both PvP and PvE Bonuses at the same time on the weekends...but I realize why they don't do it...people complaining about originality...such as Xyzzy above...would complain even more.

Theres only 1 title for GVG, and thats Champion points. Which you get double champ points this weekend. Theres your double title points.

Gotta agree with the guys asking for dual pvp/pve weekends..i dont know how hard it would be to implement,or come up with ideas for tho.I think its great that the champions out there get a bit of a boost but i just checked somthing. There are currently 59 guilds in the whole of guildwars that qualify for champ points, that is a pretty selective weekend imho.I know there is double BF for gvg also, but how much are baby guilds gonna see of that when they are getting trashed in under 5 mins?Perhaps im posting in the wrong thread here

And then it went to trash again when the ladder system changed.
With no resets, any half-decent guild can get into champ range with enough grinding.

That would rock, just like the urgoz and deep access/double gold drops for urgoz and the deep/ 8 man HA weekend(back in the good ol 6v6 days) They should do something like:double Faction, and Triple greens(for all campigns).

Hmmm....double faction. That'll go well with my UAX. It'll also go well with my entire guilds' UAX. And since we aren't 1200+, this'll be a great weekend event. Hooray.

Eh, I don't PVP and half of the PVE events I don't generally care about either, but I think it's nice that they do them so I'm not going to complain.
It doesn't negatively impact me and they aren't forcing me to participate, so whatever.
GL to everyone who is taking advantage of this one.
