What We Can Do to Help Fix HA...
After playing Ha for a few hours today I feel it about time to make a point to the GW community. This thread is not about discussion as to why Ha is broken but more as to suggest a way that we as players can help fix it to a certain degree.
When your team has been beaten, whether it be by a gank or by an error 7, please just act like good sports and resign. I am not here to complain about ganking by any means, I feel ganking is a legitimate strategy but I am more talking about the teams who know they cannot win in either cap points, relics or kill count and then decide to either feed the losing team kills or bodyblock the relic runners for the leading team.
Back when Ha was holding, any team could basically still win up until the final 5secs., so there was much less of this unfair style play where some teams feel it necessary to screw over the leading team since they cannot win themselves. Moreover, what makes this even worse is that people will openly state this intention in all chat.
Obviously, there will always be teams who have friends on the other team and choose to help them out but for the most part, if you have been beaten, admit defeat, say GG and then resign.
My 2 cents...

If your ghost died at 1:59 you lost. Ganking was just as prevailent in altercap as it was in killcount.

Ok true, if your ghost died at 1:59 you were done, but, ganking as you call it is far more prevailent in Ha now. Secondly, I clearly said that I have no issue with ganking in killcount, it is a strategy like any other, it is the poor sportsmanship that really annoys me. Once you realize your team cannot win, purposely causing another to lose is NOT ganking...it is childish sore losing and nothing more.

If you just have problems with people who are still playing after they've lost, why not just ask ANET to make people who can't win anymore loose?
Ok, that was rethorical. We all know that ANET isn't going to support the PvP side of their game in any kind of meaningful way anymore. I'd honestly just suggest you quit and find a new game.

Well, I really enjoy GW and would hate to see it end, that is why I was hoping to generate some support in trying to at least promote the spirit of fair play. I actually hold alot of respect for some of your guildies and generally I believe your guild does promote fair play, I just wish others would do the same until Anet decides to take action and fix some of the glaring problems in Ha.

It's the nature of three-ways, and one of the things I least like about HA atm. When 3-ways involved altar capping, there was less ganking as nobody was really interested in eliminating one team early on just so you can fight 1on1 after. (Yes, the popular approach was to sit around instead; I agree that this was boring.) But I disagree with the guy who said it was as common as it is now, that is plainly false as any active HA veteran can tell you.
Anyway, an early strike now pays off much more. Kill counts are most like this, but relic running, continuous holding and capture points in halls have the same characteristic.
It may also be interesting to speculate about the no-DP factor here. Even when a team has been beaten down severely, it is likely they will do some handy hard-rezzing and be up to full strength soon enough to deal an avenging gank, even if they cannot hope to win themselves anymore.
So you call for sportsmanship and honorable resigning? Bravo! /signed

^^ Very good point about the DP factor, my guildies and I were talking about that very thing, if Anet is going to leave Ha the way it is, the least they can do is reintroduce DP to help avoid exactly the point you brought up

Play better than the opposing team and you win. That is what I find. As I honestly don't see HA that broken then it is hard for me to answer the thread... People often stop playing a game after two years. Many people seem to forget that. They've said things like 'HA is dead now because it's broken, look at the lack of districts'. If things never changed after two years the districts would become fewer and fewer. I noticed a similar thing with many games I played.
As for the comments in local chat, if you don't like it. Turn off local chat. If you like a game people shouldn't put you off in anyway; therefore, their comments are meaningless.
I think you've achieved nothing with this thread. Wait, maybe I'm wrong =P.
At least the people who annoy you in local chat, will now know they get to you - right? That's if they read these forums.

I agree ganking sucks but realistically as long as 3 way maps exists its always going to happen.
