It's CC with a different name.
To be fair if you really did suck then I don't blame them for raging. Would you be able to answer my question about who was in the team?
The whole they don't have a life business. That's pointless. They arn't kids, they just sound like it. You can get low rank people who don't have a life.

Yeah i really dont care whos fault it was anymore, ill put all the blame on me if anyone wants to hear that. I just think its really dumb about how prepubescents are going around raging thinking they are cooler with a higher number under their character. Its not like im a r2, im r7 and ive been doings for a hell of awhile too. Thats ok, im really kind of tired of children who think this game is real life just because they dont have one. Thanks guys, i got my answer, sorry for starting a dramatic thread.
|
I'm quite sure you already had your answer anyway. People are people. I don't think they think they're cool.
It probably just got to them that you played bad. The only thing I was trying to determine is whether or not you played bad, or they did.

Warlock is right, he created and farmed r10 with IWAY but is generally a nice person with positive attitudes to other players.

Actually raging like that pretty much proves someone is childish.
What do you expect from a pug monk after all, one that is low rank to boot. Taking a PUG infuser is laughable to be honest, something done only in the darkest hour of need lol. Is it really fair to rage at this person to release your own frustration for losing?
When we HA and we have a PUG that doesn't perform as desired, we typically just say the team is disbanding after the run, or that we have a guild/friend coming. It's not even a lie. We don't feel the need to rub it in someone's face that he played badly, but I think most PUGs realize anyway that the temporary alliance was not a success. Of course, during gameplay, remarks are made about what is going wrong etc, so it's not like we don't provide any feedback either.
Don't know what you would consider "high ranked" but to give you an idea-- I have 5 digit fame.

I don't doubt they're childish but it is more excusable if he played bad.
I played well in chamalees group and later on, he criticized me. For not saying on vent that I had dazed when I had drawed it off the RC monk.
It is un-like him to 'rage' so much on vent. He criticized me and it got to me that he didn't understand basic logic, but I wouldn't say he 'raged' that much.
Some of the members do... Again the reason for wanting to know who was in the match. There is always two sides to a story and at the moment I don't see GANK posting.
Some times anger is uncontrollable, people here have said themselves that others do not have a life. I know from personal experience when I FPS gamed that life can be shitty or whatever, and you can put all your thoughts into a game, so when you lose it makes you very angry. Especially when the reason you lost is not your fault and it is because your team let you down.
It is easy for us to criticize, but I will still think of chamalee as a person who:
Doesn't care much about rank (according to him).
Makes his own builds.
Generally doesn't play lame things like IWAY.
Has pretty good tactics in kill count compared to other leaders of a team.
Sounds like a five year old on vent (it could be a broken mic :/) but I never heard him get as angry as like passive or someone.

I would say rank11+.

I can count times I have invited people I know aren't that good. Played against a team I disliked. Explained what to do, only to find my team still mess's up basic things. I have to say I have felt times that even though my expectations were low, I was still made some what angry. Yes on vent i would control that, but for those who don't and talk first think later... Hm. It's not totally about what one expects.
Usually their anger is something they can't control.
So when they try to sound like the tough guy. You have to just remind yourself of how weak they are. Don't have the strength to remain calm. .

One example does not mean anything anyway, moot point.

I presume it was just the build what was good then.

Hmm. When I played heroway with Tvc and won halls, I did not find it hard. Neither did he. We didn't bother with vent to communicate to the other monks either and such.
So I don't think that means anything anyway. Saying someone has won halls with heroway just proves one thing really, how bad halls is. Lol.

Good one. And EaSy copied it I guess? I don't know about which EaSy you're talking about but the 1st (old and the original) EaSy were the 1st one to come up with hex pressure. I remember it very well, they also started to exploit soul reaping.

Am slightly amused at this incident you keep posting about where you expected Dazed to be cleared by the RC monk without saying anything. Not saying you were wrong, but it's obvious that this was a GW moment that made a lasting impression on you. ^^
Failing to control GW-induced anger is due to immaturity... or failing as a person. This is not life events we're talking about. It's a silly little game. No excuses lol.

I agree with Leteci.
I remember having a chat with someone from EaSy when they first started running their N/x hex builds. I was very curious about the build and I remember him saying "the build relies on a rune that nobody else uses, superior soul reaping".
The first variation I remember them using was 1 W, 1 N/mo smiter (with scourge), 1 N/E nuker, 2 N/Mes with all mesmer hexes, 2 spirit spammers, and 2 N/Mo healers. It was pretty revolutionary at the time, and pretty much the first of its kind.

Yes, I didn't even know that soul reaping works on spirits back then.

I'm glad it amused you. Your post hasn't added much to the thread though. It did leave a lasting impression. The RC monk is the one which gets rid of conditions. So for the condition to be transferred it just seems absolutely ridiculous to have to call it on vent. Hi I just transferred dazed from you onto me, can you get rid of it. o.0. So yes, this was like, the peak of the stupidity that I noticed.

Ridiculous statement.
This doesn't apply to all but supposing:
Your dad has died.
You're bullied at school.
You just lost your girlfriend due to an illness.
You have the wrong diet.
You sleep bad hours.
If you then play guildwars, with all of these things happening. It WILL put you on a shorter fuse. It is immaturity to an extent, but every person (especially males) suffer from that.
Testosterone, makes you competitive. It's the side effect of the drug. With competitive, and losing, makes frustration. Frustration and a short fuse = anger.
Your statement is made in ignorance. Granted not many people have had all that happen to them, but if I just said 'sleep bad hours' someone will say 'I sleep bad hours, I'm not nasty'. For some, it can effect them and different things effect different people.
A rank three is satisfied with less fame, GANK having a lot of fame means it probably takes them more fame to satisfy them. They aren't friends, or they wouldn't back stab each other. Which leaves out the 'playing for fun' so to speak.
It really is no wonder that they can get angry.
I know of another couple of angry people from FPS games, Lauke and Cooller. They have both got up and kicked their computer, smashed the keyboard. I know Lauke did when he got killed just one time. He was highly driven and it made him mad if he made a mistake, this is what made him elite.
Now I don't think Chamalee or his guild is fundamentally that skilled. Which leaves out that. I have met some nice people with internet girlfriends and all, don't get me wrong but again increasing the chance of some insecurities there.
Add everything together and things seem to make sense to me.

You and Mirado are talking about different builds here... e-ego swingers
Moonie used to run something like 2x Mo, 2x Me, 1x CG R, 2x (1x?) N and 1 W or something...
Haven't seen him run it for like half year now cus of 6v6 and now he's inactive -.-

I was frustrated at his stupidity enough for me to later remember it. I was not worked up over the game.
I was explaining why people can get mad, it wasn't to do with me.
I don't yell on vent. I don't usually consider people worth talking too, let alone shouting at them.
As I don't yell on vent you don't need to personalise anything towards me. You just appear like you want to flame me. I guess you are jealous and getting worked up.
