Ganking.
This is the one thing I despise about Hall of Heroes. The gankers. And actually, it's not only in HoH, every 3-way map is practically a failure. How I am supposed to win when two teams team up against mine, just because one of them is hopeless and decided to ruin our fairly-almost-achieved victory. Take capture points for example. We have our own base, we have the altar and it's almost a gg. We have the advantage and are practically winning. Then these two french teams start bla-bla-ing in french and the one with only 7 points go to our base and sabotage our victory. Is this supposed to be fun? Or you are going to say "stop whining". Well I won't stop mainly because I want to have fun in this game and my fun is ruined by some total noobs daily. Make all maps 1v1 or remove HA from the game. 3-way maps SUCK in every possible aspect. There is always someone who gets ganked. There is no such thing as /resign for the absolute noobs. And this is what grinds my gears.

Get used to it. They will not and shall not remove kill count from this game. Even if all pvpers leave they still dont lissen to you.
Anet loves spike builds and doesnt like hexes at all. Besides that like 40 % of the game is a hex doesnt matter to them. Just live with it, and if you dont like getting French Ganked learn french and speak back.
But if they lissen. tell them to remove heros from the battle isles also. And let them only be on that Hero Battle thing.
ktybye.

I've been playing GW for 2 years now and I'm used to everything they changed already. But that doesn't mean I can't complain about it. HA is ruined. A rank 9+ balanced team sometimes fails against 4 players with 4 heroes. Is this supposed to be pvp? This is another topic to discuss, the idiotic heroway teams. Yesterday every second team was hero spiritway and It was one of the most boring HA experiences. And I don't want to learn french to reply back, I want a very simple thing - FAIRPLAY. Anet failed at achieving this with the new maps.

^meta, not game balance.
Anyway, I agree with OP 100%. Seeing rank 11+ teams lose to hexbullshit and iway in less than 5 minutes is very disheartening.
I can't think of a way to fix the ganking issue on KC and CP maps, because where there's three teams there's the opportunity to gank. Maybe this opportunity should be controlled somehow. Meh.
You'd think ANet would give half a shit about players who have been with them for 2 years, but no..

Well there was a post by one of the community dudes from Anet in Riverside saying that unless people make a noise about the issues they have with the game then theres nothing they can do, they can only pass on what they see to dev's.
So if you want skill balance and map changes then you have to spam the forums and make lots of threads on the issue, basically everything the mods here despise.
HoH is best as it is, but i dont see a reason for any other maps being 3-way.

Ganking is part of the game. Last night my guild we were holding and one of our runners error'd at the beginning and we were immediately ganked by the other 2 teams. It happens.

Ganking will always be a part of the game. And teams deal with it and still are able to come out on top. The only time this is a problem, is when a team isnt playing to win, but just to make you lose. Nothing you can do about ganks like that. (ok on kill count u can possibly recover from it, but not on cap points, on CP ur just screwed if someone wants to hand the game to the 3rd team)

Go to GvG and tell the other team no ganking if they have an assassin they will tell him to go gank. Just deal with it and stop whining or go play xbox or something where you can yell at the noob who kills you with a pistol or something. And with the re-entry to the 8v8 (that I longed for) I really haven't done halls much but from what I watch in the observer mode is just a bunch of rt spikes and zergway and other crap.
Get used to it ganking = fun especially in GvG.

Those 3-way maps besides Hoh are really discouraging.
I play in Taiwan server and everytime we come to that killcount / w/e map 90% of the time we get ganked. Just because TW server players dont appear often in HA doesnt mean we are complete noob and need to be got rid of asap b4 we waste their time.
I can see why there is a declining number of TW players out of the already tiny player base. How discouraging.

camp base til 1:30 then run out and /resign, best way to avoid ganks, gg to ha no longer taking skill and r9+ groups getting dominated by r3 ssway and heroway.....
balance has made somewhat of a comeback from what used to be all spike teams in ha, looks like steady stance and heroway are here to stay, since anet likes to nerf everything but what people want

if r9 team loses to heroway, i would consider their ranks/build again. Most possible is that they have anti your build (hexes / condition spam) and you get degened out.
Now i really doubt that you didnt never gank someone on courtyard/broken tower so dont worry, it's just a part of the game.

You should make a difference between gank for the win and gank for the lose. When you gank someone to ensure you are going to win - fine. When you are ganking someone to make sure they don't win - that's gay and newb at the same time.

Yeah, ganking when you've lost already is pretty sad. There are too many opportunities now in HA to do this.
Though I remember this instance in Halls looong ago where we faced the holding team and an IWAY team stood on the other side. This was when you had to beat another team first to proceed. And then you sat around a little until 2:00. The IWAYers apparently felt they had no chance of holding/capping, so the leader began to spam local with stuff like "hmm which team shall we unleash our massive pressure on..". Clearly, a
"gank for the lose" was the intention.
Sadly I can't remember who won that game. But it shows that this type of sportsmanship has been there for a long time already... if only Anet would reduce the opportunity for it rather than increase it.

Heavily luck influenced maps and an option of ruining the game for others shouldnt be part of the game. -_-
