i cant be stuffed reading all these essays, but from what lore keeper says
the reasons why halls died partially is because its getting old, people move on.
This was further fueld by bad mechanics.
Death man seriously stop relating every single argument of yours to bad mechanics, 6v6, kill count
They are the minority of the reasons
Just wait till gw en comes out, pvp will 'probably' be active again......
pretend the mechanics werent changed, we will still see olias way, decline of population it wont change the fact people get tired of playing after almost 2-3 years.
Even if we do revert it wont change the fact, we cant have the 'enjoyable" tombs back. Meta has shifted drastically with new chapters.
...... give it up anet has better things to do then fix halls esp with gw en coming out

If its a one time deal at the start of the match kind of thing yea your now 12 behind unless you can hall ass and get there fast. But this only happens if a team has an err7 or something and have friends on the other team.
However if its an upon respawn deal, your fine. The tactics you call are different based upon where in the map you are, if you can get to the spawned team first, do so, cause they will be trying to run past to feed the other team. If you cant get there first....
This has happened to me often enough, the best way around it is to react fast enough to pressure the team thats getting the free kills. If you have AoE, youll probably get loads of kills off both teams, but while the now winning team is getting free kills, all thier pressre/damage is on the losing team, your free to kill everyone cause you still have 100% energy. Plus you get to apply all your pressure to thier backline straight away, and get to ignore the midline people, they should drop pretty quick if you apply your pressure right.
I agree its lame, but its not auto lose. Its happened too much to me, quick response time is the way around it. Just gotta hope you can get there fast enough to do something about it.

ok i got convinced that killcount is horrible and needs to be fixed, and if it doesnt work then it should be removed asap.
ill tell u what happened yesterday-
my happy balanced team got to courtyard, we fought a noob splinterway and some mixed paragon-ranger spike. the noob splinterway constantly tried to gank us, while the spike team merrily spiked them one by one. and what are the splinterway doing? keep attacking us despite our chat spams. at some point, the score was something like spiketeam-12, us-6, splinters-0. at that point the splinters resigned, leaving us to 1v1 the spiketeam. we got a few kills including their ghostly, and we were slowly catching up. when the score was about 13-10 the spiketeam started to run away for the remaining minute. we managed to snare 1-2 of them but they won eventually.
we would easily defeat both teams in any 1v1 encounter, yet we lost because things that were out of our hands. why did we lose to a group worse than us just because the third group is even worse?

tactics in 3 way are different than tactics in teh 1v1. and noob splinter is easy enough to dump on the other team, they just c spacebar.

Team Arenas is even worse, hardly anyone is playing there. Hero battles aren't extremely active and alliance battles are 50% leechers.
I think it is save to say that Anets attitude towards pvp, and the repetivity of pvp is draining more and more people from pvp.

Well ok, I admit, I only checked for people forming PUG's, most people form from their Guild or something I guess. The same with HA. People do play it, since teams are winning the halls, yet hardl any teams are being formed.
And I really don't see a PvE player mapping to HA/TA for his first match of pvp, finding that there are no teams being formed, waiting for 2 hours, getting slaughtered in the first match, waiting another 2 hours etc. that's just too high of a barrier. Especially since most groups being formed are ranked.
So nonetheless the effective population of HA/TA is very very low, since no new people are joining in, and many old ones are leaving due to things mentioned in this topic. So its basically just being drained until just an elite remains that dominates it.

I really would like Galie to come here and give the HA community some answers. Though i doubt that would ever happen because she has obviously shown she doesnt have enough bottle. If i were to say half the views which the HA community have about anet on the forums on the riverside section or pve section of the forums Galie will come running before i could even type my first word, to reasure and give the community some answers and sway there negative view of the company.
The fact with the HA community this hasnt happened shows anet dont care two hoots. Im fed up of there false reasurance, oh were looking into HA. How long ago did Galie post that along with andrew. What changes have been made? Anet are like broken politicians. They get you to buy there game just like the politican gets you to vote for them then they turn there backs to you and turn to not live up to their expectation.

Pve players usually go to RA first (d'oh) unless they've joined a pvp oriented guild.
Idk about your theory about no new players however...Ive been active in TA for over a year now and i keep on seeing new players (that were quite unknown only a few months ago) slowly gaining recognition among the community there while older ones slowly quit TA either for rl reasons or due to a "change of priorities".
All this whine about HA really makes me laugh though...anet at least TRIED to fix things (in their own weird way)...but look at TA. It has been the same for over a year now with practically no changes to bugged maps, for example. Not to mention it is being practically put on same level as RA since the titles u gain in both arenas cannot be distinguished (and I know players that have got r6 glad PURELY by playing in RA *rolleyes*).

imo TA is the best pvp atm. no RA leavers, no AB leechers, no HA/gvg heroways, HB is a type of game that many (me included) dont like, so not many ppl there. also, TA is the most simple pvp- simply kill the other team. that causes a minimal metagame and a huge variety of bulids there. i actually have fun playing TA. i dont have fun playing HA lately.

Wheres that andrew guy btw, hes doing another Galie. He comes gives us a sentence or two and runs away he meerly does it to pipe us down for the mean time. The only reason Andrew even posted here is because the CR team got completely owned in a thread here on Guru. They got called out for not doing their jobs and the thread was completely epic (so epic that mods had to delete many of the posts that were TOO ownage).
So I'm guessing after that, the CR team ran from this forum ages ago.
As for double fame, its rather stupid. Its almost a slap in the face really. Its like "we are thinking about HA but not THAT much". Fix HA or just delete the damned thing from the game for the love of god. Fix HA or stop pretending you care.

sigh sad thing is what you have just said is so true. No wonder he came running here, i noticed him an Galie couldnt defend themselves agasint posts like JRs ect so really he used us to make himself feel better i guess being as you so nicely put it there whole cr team got owned. Did it not make you laugh though, he said he was forwarding the thread to the developers but erm thread had been here for how long and people had been complaining for how long. Why was it only being taken note of then. Seriously anet have some crazy people in there company.

One thing i have noticed is Galie is good at running. Every single post shes made on the HA section iv posted in reply to her post and got no answer. Iv even posted 1 minute after her and got no answer what so ever, surely she must have seen it then. There basically avoiding the hard earned questions the HA community want to hear the answer to.

Eh, I get heroways ganking me or the other team all the time, the heroway build requires the necros to apply pressure properly, thumpers alone arent enough to get kills. Oh yea, they cant do that if everyone is moving. And heros ball up real nice around turns, especially the necros.
