Default Noob Question

I've been playing GW for over 1 1/2 years now, but I've only PvE'd. I recently got Factions and am now faced with having to play stuff like Fort Aspenwood. I'm trying different things with my Rit, Ranger and Necro, but I have 4 other characters to eventually get to this level too. My stupid question is how effective would a E/Mo spamming Heal Party be in PvP (or Fort Aspenwood specifically)? I was just thinking about this earlier and I'm sure Heal Party spammers in PvP has been around forever (actually I think it was PvP "abuse" that changed the skill from a 1 sec to 2 sec recharge time, but anyway...)

As lame as it sounds a certain percentage of my PvE was completed by just henching missions and spamming Heal Party to help mitigate damage while Menhlo and "What's her Nuts" handled the "spike" heals. Of the handfull of Fort Aspenwood matches I have played I can tell that these truly is a Forrest Gump style of play. Fort Aspenwood is like a box of chocolates, ya never know what kind of team you will play with or play against. So considering this would a E/Mo Heal Party spammer be effective in Fort Aspenwood? Oh by the way I'm limited to only Prophecies skills and Factions skills available up to Fort Aspenwood.

Take an ele that deals damage into FA. Heal party isn't worth it since a lot of the time people are completely out of HP range.

Best bet for Aspenwood as an elementalist is a fire build, heavy on the damage. Fire elementalists make great mine cappers and amber runners, plus they have the versatility to defend when needed. On the luxon side the same is true as the high offense will cut through most of the npcs quickly.

You may want to consider switching secondary to necro. I like to take Gaze of Contempt or rend enchantments as you are almost guareenteed to see a lot of enchantments (this is almost a necessity if your playing on the Luxon side).

By the way, the other elements are also effective in Aspenwood but fire is the easiest to jump in and run with.

Thanks for the input. I guess that explains why I've yet to see a Heal Party spammer there. I've mostly just seen fire and some earth E/D there too. I ran into a couple E/D tanking machines that were extremely tough...Gaze of Contempt would have been very nice for these types of guys.

You do see a lot of enchant tanks in Aspenwood for some reason. I don't know why since they generally have very poor offensive capabilities. And their defense is really quite fragile, although I suppose the number of players bringing enchant removal is small.

For my own fire build in Aspenwood I also bring along Chillbains in addition to rend/gaze if I am playing on the Kurzick side. Reason for this is to deal with the shadow form elementalists that the Luxons often seem to have. Shadow Form elementalists can create a lot of havoc but chillbains will usually have them rage quit in short order

Eles on luxon should probably bring fire builds to fry NPC's en masse. Most luxon players should bring an enchant removal skill.

Eles on kurzick should consider air, for blinding and occupying single players, as well as spiking out siege turtles.

People who bring E/D earth tanks should consider hurling themselves in front of a train.
