Punishing leavers/leechers... man i can't wait to see how crap this system is once Anet finally get it up and running. If they'd of pulled there finger out 12 months ago they could've had this implemented ages ago and have worked on improving it. Now people are just going to be pissed at Anet for giving us too little too late.

It should never be an individual reward I think, it should always be earning 100% of the share that you get when u win or loose a battle. How can you gain your share? Monks arent real killers, we all know it. So taking this template and make that such a character can still earn credit (towards 100% reward) would be a wise thing to do. monks usually just run around supporting their team, so if they are around when a kill occurs you can assume they supported offensive characters in their roles by removing conditions, hexes, preventing damage, and healing them. So if they are close to a kill (max 2xaggro) they should be rewarded equally welll as offensive characters. To recap, everyone around this kill should be rewarded percentage points toward the 100% faction reward possible. Same for capping. People that do not move dont get rewarded, leechin g will be absolutely banned. Unless they use bots to follow around. But then botting is illegal, and thats added risk for "new generation" leechers. Now I see just maybe one problem and that is characters playing like Moriz' cripshot rangers, they are soloing and hampering enemy teams. Whether they cap in the mean time and/or kill enough to get to 100% I have no clue. Maybe he could shed some light on how effective such a free role character can be?

Yay! nice to know this is being looked over : D
As for everyone else, god job eating through reward ideas. YES, they are definetly shakey, but they ARE FUN. I remember playing Savage and at the end of each game, there being a rewards screen while waiting for teams to rebalance and wait for the next round. Obviously not all rewards will work, im just suggesting a few that would prove to be an incentive for people to try and play team roles, rather than just solo characters.

Geeze.. umm.. okay, yes, if most damage/kills and most shrines capped were the only rewards available, yes i would agree that a lot of people would just roll a sin for the extra faction and such. However, other rewards like most spells interrupted, most healing done can be included.. the idea is to include rewards for the different kinds of players that happen to AB.. so ya, there will be a lot of E/As screwing around, so what? That will just make AB a little bit more challenging! Maby the title would also attract good monks to try and have something to show their worth(like a pretty title!).
And that capping thing.. dude.. that is how you win in AB.. you do not make 500 kills to win AB. I dont know about anyone else.. but I find HB boring since its not really 1v1.. its more of a who can make the generic builds and micro fairly well.. hah.. thats not something you hear often in an MMO.. And no doubt you will find those soloing E/As, or over confidant Sins to fight if Anet were to take this suggestion seriously.
I suppose the bonus faction i proposed is too much, but it should be enough that you are actually very happy for winning the award! Not just "Oh, i got the w/e award. next round please k thx bai."
Still sticking by the title. Maby just let all awards contribute to a AB Battle Master or Alliance Battle Rank title, or just make the title take a very, very long time and great amount of wins.. kinda like gladiator points :/.. but AB (and TA) really need something to make people go there for more than disorganised pvp or testing fun builds. I mean.. come ON! Even RA has something over AB! >.<

Wow, that I would like to see... xD Too bad you can't make mobbers spread out and cap, or make the tactically inept better at tactics.. :P

Im sorry, but EXTRA rewards suck like hell. They must make you earn your share but that is also wher it should stop. Extra rewards will most likely result in "exploits", class discrimination, and whatever more.
