Yep, congrats to rawr.
But this tourney was really weird at points. My guild got a bye first round so we didn't get any RP

Yeah rawrs monking was amazing at the vod fight to keep up with all the npcs and renos hexes as well as the fact they had no npcs themselves.

They had a few npcs I believe. But really rawr just needed to get Reno into an 8v8 fight. They brought a lot of build hate just for Reno. I was surprised to see Reno get so far running that single build to be honest.

same, i still can't believe no guild actually managed to counter RenO when they knew exactly what build they'd be running.

Biggest joke of a monthly since the one that HaND won.
Neither Rawr or RenO are good tbh. ;/

Really. Would you mind telling me who precisely the good guilds are and what makes them good?

"Biggest joke" ? Don't be exaggerating.
They go to final by making less mistake than other guilds IMO and some luck, of course.

They all quit lolololol - honestly though, no lie they quit. Maybe they will be back for GW2 - we can only hope . There may be good players right now, but its to the standard of this ladder, and not past ladders.
IMO.
If you really wanted me to name a few though, I'd have to say guilds like [EviL],[LuM], [WM]... No particular order. Just a few ones that come to mind instantly.
Edit: Not to say Rawr or RenO are not good - I just really hate the current ladder. And the skills.

Whilst most of the really good guilds of the past may have quit the game, that is not at all relevant when it comes to this monthly.
He was saying that this monthly was worse than other monthlys, which would mean he is saying that there are other good guilds around. I can only assume he means [vD]
Good can only be taken as compared to what they are competing against, so it is completely pointless to say no current guild is worthy of winning this tournament as they wouldn't have beaten [EviL].
Back on topic, gg to rawr and reno.

Guilds like EviL and WM, if they were to come back, would need a long long time to get used to the current meta and way of things--> you make no point by comparing them to Rawr and RenO.
Btw I hear dT > Rawr + RenO. Is this true??
Edit: DIH49, he/she probably means guilds like NoT because they flawlessed vD or even EvIL, LuM etc. because he/she doesn't know what history is.
Also, damnnn NoT had a sexy build ;D
Can anybody tell me how NoT lost to RenO as well? I err7'ed at VoD when I was watching it and haven't had a chance to/won't be able to log in to GW to watch it. Iirc it was on druids so I'm guessing they couldn't react to RenO's split but weren't they handling it fine during the match?..

IIRC match came to VoD, Reno has more NPC, NoT has much higher morale ( maxed morale I think). But Reno can hold up and kill better. NoT wiped after 20th min, and reno could finish the lord before NoT base-res.

NoT and vD are my favorites, and if rawr had to play either of them, it'd be very hard for them to win it.
rawr did a great job beating PnH and DF, but I still think DF playing their best could've taken rawr.
Either way, with a little bit of luck (NoT knocking out vD and RenO knocking out NoT) and nice talent, rawr won the tourney.

Very well done! I was watching the fights on Obs mode at the PAX booth and started to get quite a large group of people watching over my shoulder. You put on quite a show!

The meta is too different to put down current guilds in favor of past guilds.
Great job everyone, really.
Still, watching NoT flawless vD was a bit ridiculous, really.
I have a lot of respect for rawr, so gogogo good job!

They shouldn't. NoT's hex build was pretty crazy and came out of left field. It looked more an instance of build wars than anything else, and since vD ran a very common blanced they found themselves "out-built".
