I just remembered a long long time ago (before Factions even) we got bored one night. So, for GvG, we ran four IWAY Warriors, and the four provided henchmen since there were no heroes back then.
We sucked horribly but it was so random that it was completely worth it....

sever artery is the leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeets ,specially since ranger's dont have any 5 or 10 energy attack skills that cause bleeding like let's say, Hunter's shot or Screaming shot

A couple months ago, my guild went up against a team in underworld of 6 W/E's all with glyph lesser and high energy fire nukes. We killed everything in pretty much a minute, but we asked before they left if boredom had caused them to use that build....they replied "guildwiki told us that the build would work." I don't I've ever laughed so hard at a gw related comment.

That build would be "hamstorm" (hamstring + firestorm), a famous W/E suggestion by the prima guide/manual/something, IIRC it consists of ice spikes, chain lightning, firestorm and hamstring at least. GuildWiki is a popular source of ridicule for the rediculous builds it harbors, the opposing team were probably playing on that.

Yeah I know all about that build and the association of wiki and build efficiency, I just thought the whole idea was absolutely hilarious.
P.S. I should add that they were all r9+...and bored as hell I'd imagine.

I think that was originally on the first prints of the GW box, where it used the ability to hamstring someone and cast firestorm on them as they limp away as an example of how secondary professions would be useful. Realistically, it is actually an easier-to-understand example than most USEFUL examples. Like a person just reading the box wouldn't know what GoLE did.

Yep, Hamstorm was a build posted on the original Prophecies box, with a caption reading something like this:
"Use two professions for maximum versatility! Here, a Warrior slows down an enemy so that he can't run away from the Fire Storm spell he's about to cast."
Paraphrased of course, but you get the idea. And yeah, it is easier to understand than a lot of useful combinations. If you get the point across that "one profession can do something that enables another profession to do something better," then you've achieved the whole point of the two-profession system. Such a simplistic idea is of course, simple to understand :P

No... that build > Dunes of Despair. Did it once when i was bored.
Had a wammo earlier. Spamming (somehow) Shielding Hands, Shield of Regen and Dolyak Signet w/ Watch Yourself. He had no damage output... yet tried to solo monk shrines.
Oh and the good old E/D build... trying to cap a monk shrine alone (with morons continueing to attack him for 5 minutes as usual).
I had a guildy running a P/Rt Offensive Spirits/Shout build. It sounds extremely stupid... yet worked quite well, lol.

Have the box here, let me qoute
"A Deadly Combination"
Strike with a hamstring attack to cripple your fleeing opponent, then rain fire down upon him as he slowly limps away.
....But worse is the picture on the box...A warrior in platemail is shooting a recurve bow at a bone dragon with the skills Iway, Galrath slash, hamstring, defensive stance, chain lightning, fire storm, ice spikes and inferno...
Thats six attributes he's spec'ed in

He was a very nice guy and a self-admitted noob so I hate doing this but:
W/Mo
Executioner's Strike, Power Attack, Axe-Rake (no deep-wound attack),
Shield's Up, Orison of Healing, Healing Signet, Mending,
and some non-signet Res
After playing a couple of games with him on my team, I gave a few suggestions about skills to unlock and kindly directed him to the guru website to look at the forums, so my good deed was done for the day.
