Whatever you prefer - if you think it's safe to lose half your health for a really quick res, take flesh
If you don't want to risk it, take res chant - high chance of being interrupted though.
( Ps: It's shAll, not shell )

Flesh imo.
Death Pact is very risky if you are low level and can't use it properly. It can be an awesome hard res or it can lead to team wipe and a loss.

Yeah, death pact is bad if you're rezzing someone who's level 15 because he'll probably die again
P.S. I know what you mean, but it just sounds funny :P
Either flesh or death pact works, depending on team build.

Fast-casting mesmers or Glyph-Sac Elementalists can bring Resurrection Chant without trouble.
However with the LoD in the backline, having 2 players at 50% from Flesh isn't as bad. It is faster, cheaper, full-range (rather than half-range Res Chant) and has no recharge. Flesh wins in my book.

Death Pack does have a bug. The 120 minute counter doesn't reset with multiple uses. I haven't completely confirmed this but if the 120 minute counter is in affect it only affects the person ressed the first time. Anyone ressed after the counter is in affect doesn't link you to their death.
I like Death Pack more because it returns more energy and is free. In the end its up to your team.

For troublesome mobs, rebirth is the way to go.
Otherwise, Death pact and Flesh are the best. Carry a high set with death pact can really help minimize team collapses.

Only take death pact if you are confident in your monks.

As someone who had a lot of apprehension about deathpact in the past, I think it is the best hard res in the game at this moment and is never bad: it is either amazing or hilarious.
