with lod nuked, rits are really better healers then monks. warding can serve as substitute for guardian and vengeful weapon reminds me a little bit of RoF. Monks were only better at healing because LoD existed imho.

PwK gives armor and Weapon of Warding block chance, smells an awful lot like protection to me. But don't take it too seriously, I'm just curious what people will use now with LoD nuked, speculating != knowing.

I think lod nerf got balanced by HB boost. Heal party is still 15 energy but that is pretty big heal now.
it can get removed but since its 5 energy 10 recharge is kinda pointless.
I still have to try it, but just from skill reading i think HB will be toned down soon.
you lose an important self heal, but party wide heal is still in good state.

yeah I am sorry I forgot.
PwK and Weapon of warding are really comparable to spirit bond/protective spirit/reversal/gaurdian/shield of absorbtion, possibly even better.

with buff to HB and vigorS. I sense a new meta in HA involing 2(cipp anthem, anthem of fury) paragon support and 6wammos all running sever arteries, gash, final thrust and rest healing/prot skills!

BTW- as a slight note, yes, all Izzy had to do was change sinsplit and a few other things. However, Izzy (or AP, or Gaile, or whoever) said some time ago (have searched but can't find the quote) that instead of balancing the game, they were trying to bring the metagame to a new direction every x months.

How arrogant. Just because its their game doesn't mean that they should shove a metagame down our throats. They're supposed to balance the game when things get out of hand, not force us to play their way. They're not even close to the best players in this game.
Introducing what everybody is going to be playing:
2 RoA Thumpers
2 Searing Flames E/(mo/me)
1 Me/N Tainter
2 Monks
1 Heal Party-Extinguish Bitch
2 Mel Dervs
2 Shadow Prison Sins
1 Me/x (for good measure)
3 Monk Backline
2 Warriors
1 Cripshot Ranger <-- He's the flagrunner, btw...
2 Paragons
3 Monks
Heroway
Paragons
Other SFway variants
I'm pressed for time, think of some other *great* RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO builds that you look forward to fighting against!

So far the Asian/early European metagame looks the same as yesterday, but with different monk elites and a little more assassins. But then the Asian guilds always liked their assassins. Dual WoH, WoH+HB, WoH+RC at times with HB-runners seem to be the possible monk backlines for now. Matches still go to VoD most of the time.

one of the best skill updates imo, giving monks more elite skills to run is great!
the recall ''nerf'' was pretty nice to, now you can be killed quickly after you just used it.
dont know about anchestors rage, looks scary to me (ritspike ftl)
nerfing spirits more is good as well, and luckily, Anet kept their hands of soul reaping.
only bad thing about this update is LoD got nerfed a little to much. I'd suggest to change heal to what it was.

WoH seems to be mostly functional. Too bad red bar tug-of-war is kind of boring.

i played boon prot a lot about 2 years ago, and even tho it was 10 recharge, booners needed thier energy (post OoB nerf) between enchant strips, and the enchant strip that makes you lose energy too, denying the boon prot 5 energy was worth it because people died

HB require less energy then boon prot(no unkeep, no extra energy loss).
Plus for a boon prot the removal of divine boon would mean clipping is healing power to basicly nothing. Plus boon prot was used there was no GoH, ZB or other direct heal avaible,
While removing HB the monk will still yeld a decent healing skill(and prot if he is hybrid).
My thinking anyway was more about HA where in the middle of channaling fest 5 energy wont be even noticed.
As before i still have to play with skill balance so my word are just word.

With bprots, your skills would suddenly heal 50 or less. Most spells didn't heal at all.

I think the point is that back in the boonprot days, there weren't warriors training you with rending touch every time you put up divine boon. Now there is.
