It's actually quite surprising that many people don't know there are PvP title levels to achieve for the Hall of Monuments. Now what they mean to GW2 I don't know, but as that's a long way of, it gives people a goal to achieve in forms of PvP they don't normally play. eg. I usually avoid HA but I now have a reason to play it when some guildies are trying to organize a team.

on the topic, honestly id say r3 champ is where you start to get into people who actually arent retarded, as a shit load of people could play in 1 double champ point weekend and get 50+ points. that being said im only rank 2 on my main

I know quite a lot of r4 and 5 champs who either rit/bloodspiked it or are just plain horrible. Since high champ titles can be achieved by a) playing a lot, b) farming double champ weekend, or c) farming euros, it really means nothing. If both players play the same amount, and didn't farm double champ weekend, a typical Euro would have a lot more champ pts than an American simply because there's generally 5+ champ guilds playing any given Euro night, compared to at most 2 at American times.

That said, I still need my glad 3 and commander 3 for PvP titles to show in HoM >.> I'm such a noob...

I'm one of the few that actually PvP primarily for my luxon/kurzick title. Most people with high ranks are FFF or Jade Arena farmers, so that title to me isn't exactly PvP. HB means nothing because I see ladder win/loss as a better indicator for skill.

Gladiator would mean something if people couldn't get them from RA. But they can.

Very well said, titles are just another mask for mediocre players to hide behind, not saying all players with high titles are bad (I have rank 6 champ 1 glad 2) but I know many players who are very good just by playing with them, people need to stop being elitists...
