Curse

OK, Ive been testing around with a few Necro builds for AB (mainly curses as I dont really feel like micromanaging a MM (especially if the bodies dont drop fast enough around me or there is an interupter close by)

This is the build I am currently using;

Plague Signet {E} pretty good elite easily spamable conditions spreader
Enfeebling Blood (usefull for melee opponents part 1)
Incidious Parasite (love casting it on Narutards and /scare them to death)
Faintheartedness for use on rangers to have a slightly higher chance at escaping)
Parasitic Bond (spam spam spam... only real way for me to get a reliable self heal that way)
Soul Barbs (good vs monks and Dervs part 1)
Envenom Enchantments (great vs dervs ok vs monks)
Shadow Strike (good healing if you are in a tight spot and waiting for a little help... which hardly ever comes in AB to be serious :/ )

Attribute spread;
Blood Magic = 10
Soul reaping = 8 (works just fine and I hardly ever run out of energy or need to swap weapons away from fastcasting recharge curses set)
Curses = 12+1+1(20%)

Can you guys sugest any builds or skills to replace for this type of gameplay (mainly need help against eles and Mesmers as they are hardly affected by most of my build and tehy can own me hands down).

Btw... I find the /scare to death method with IP to be "teh r0xorz" against any 12345678 assasins as they just end up killing themselves and most of the time healing me to full health if I manage to cast Enfeebling Blood aswell.... love some of the accusations of hacking when I say I scared them to death (btw... doesnt work agains inteligent sins who know when to stop whacking at me and target someone else for 14 secs).

Enfeebling Blood -> Enfeeble.

Rarely need to weaken groups, and a lot more agile of a skill.

As for fighting Eles and Mesmers, well, you are not really meant to be fighting them with a curse build, and you don't really have much to shut them down with. Degen and run is about your best bet with curses.

Thanks for the tip (Id forgotten about enfeebling. lol)

New build (still in progress), but a squishy stays a squishy in terms of ME or E damage

New build includes self conditioning (blood drinking) to support my Elite
Plague sig (still the same, but more usefull that I can nearly always spread a little bleeding if nothing else)
Defile Enchants (more usefull against mobs with enchants)
Enfeeble (thanks again

)
Insidious Parasite (still beats the tights off any blind melee char)
Parasitic bond
Faint Heartedness
Remove Hex (at least get rid of one hex every 8 seconds if I get lucky. lol )

you could always go N/Me and throw in [card]Backfire[/card] and [card]Diversion[/card] to rid yourself of single Spellcaster threats.

Interrupt bait, but since a lot of people don't have interrupts or really suck at using them (yes, rangers, you may get lucky if you hit Savage/dshot on recharge, but that doesn't mean you're any good at it), it could work.

I've played a Corrupt Enchantment nec with Restful Breeze/Mtouch in ABs. A lot of fun, especially the dozens of times I stripped a sin's Shadow Refuge as they ran away :P

As strange as it sounds, unless you're facing a Monk, Diversion isn't that good in AB. Even though most people are retarded enough to cast through it, unless you hit something major like Zealous Benediction, Stoneflesh Aura, Searing Flames, Vampiric Touch+Bite, etc. it really doesn't do much. The sporadic on-off fighting eats most of the recharge addition, so they'll just keep powering out the rest of their bar, and by the time they meet someone else, the effect will have ended.

Backfire is actually BETTER than Diversion in AB, because damage has a strong tendency to stick and it will either kill them or make them stop casting for a good stretch of time. But seriously, Corrupt + some secondary degen and a self-heal is all you really need against most casters.

True, but bad example. You don't need to be good at it (or even decent at it) to interrupt Backfire and Diversion.. especially without Fast Casting.

Why do so little builds have run buffs? I use this on an AB curse necro

For what it's worth, I have been having fun with [wiki]Defile Defenses[/wiki]. It can really punish Assassins, Rangers and Monks who often use blocking skills. Cheap skill with a quick recharge. Works well whether the foe is being attacked by an ally physical damage dealer, or even funnier, when you trigger it yourself with a modest little wanding.

Reckless haste with Insidious Paradise, lol. Your build looks like a downgraded version of Curse Necros I see in RA. Those death spells are too weak, so is your healing. Hexers Vigor would work best for healing. Your better off going /E for Lesser energy, or you need more soul reaping atleast.

BTW, that bar is horrible. Go with Riotgear's setup for the best results. Of course, if you wanted to run SS (not sure why you would) you could use it in the elite slot, though you'd probably need to run the GoLE setup to keep up the energy.

SS is expensive. Reckless/Price kills them slightly slower but completely ruins their effectiveness in the meantime. Reckless with the new lower cast time is very strong at cockblocking Assassin ganks and rendering other physicals more or less useless while they kill themselves with the green rings of doom.

Hmmm why not Plague Touch? Even before it was buffed, when I still played Curses I loved passing deep wounds back to warriors and sins. It made IP's job quicker. Yep it's painful watching every sin attack through it.

perfect, i like ur avatar. and i fond something funny about plague touch b/c one time me and anotehr war both had plague touch so we basically sat there for a few seconds and passed conditions to one another. somewhat a reason i dont carry that anymore, but i see casters with it all the time
