Its nice when they turn out to have several builds and end up spending a while screwing around and 1v1 each other and enjoying it.. but that almost never happens

Ab can be signed up in a few words.
Two teams of 12 players running around in circles.
If you know how to AB, that is really what AB is. If players were smart they all run E/D fire ele's.

ugh god forbid..
its bad enough that so many people go toucher or sin and how they charge you when you got like 20 health left then brag like mean it, but get stuck like a pig when you got full health and squash that guy and the guy next to him in your aoe later that same battle.
E/D is overrated (Earth E/D at least, with the usual stoneflesh aura, sliver, armor of earth and obsidian flesh + mystic regen), alot of the time they're a waste of time. most of em put on too much defense that they can't even solo cap, all they do is stand around letting ppl take minutes to kill them. a distraction at best.
In my opinion, if players were smart, they'd go E/A... I have yet to see a better capping machine/aoe killer build. Its alot of fun, especially since alot of kurzicks like bathing in meteor showers. (based on experience) I've cast it so many times before some sin/tank/derv/toucher is even in it, and he runs right in like he'd win a prize. LOL can you say Pavlov's dog?

Speaking of 1v1 idiocy, I remember a wammo I met at Minister Cho's Estate... he ran a terrible build and kept calling us noobs, then challenged me to a 1v1 fight with one of his other characters, I decided that due to his terribly build it was unlikely he would be capable of beating me and agreed. He brings his other wammo, I bring my W/D, he goes AFK (or pretends to, perhaps), I wait around a while and then get tired and leave. He abruptly sets his status to offline and begins insulting me. I believe by his behavior and manner of typing that he was ten years old (the names of his characters were another indication, they all began with 'Emperor' and I have noticed that little kids who get their hands on Guild Wars, indeed on many RPGs, tend to try to make themselves feel important by using names like that), so I suppose he didn't know any better.

I did realize that, that's why I edited my reply. Anyway, sure Fire E/D may pack a bit more punch, but the fact remains, since you'd have to have at least 2-3 enchantments running for Mystic regen to be worth it, you'd still have a lack of offensive power whether you're a fire or earth E/D.
To put it all into a single phrase: "Same difference" (Fire or Earth E/D with Mystic regen = unbalanced build as far as AB goes. Its either/or. If you focus on staying alive, you lose the firepower, if you go for more damage, Mystic Regen isn't worth it.

every AB bar SHOULD have:
energy management & a speedboost => fire attunement & flame djinns haste, that's 2 enchants + mystic regen, rest can be offensive -- this is way enough for good players to survive with. so no, invalid point imo.

Well, everyone's entitled to an opinion. All we can do is agree to disagree.
I think E/D is a touchy build, you obviously think more highly of it.

no, actually i think it is pretty terrible, i was just giving you a reason why it is no waste to use mystic regen on a fire ele.

OH..ok.. :P well, I have encountered some Fire E/D's and most go down pretty quick, regen alone can't really help against someone who can dish out more than 1000 damage in less than 6 seconds.. :P
From what I see, only Earth E/D and the more skilled dervs and tanks can walk out of my AOE with a fair amount of health. Everything else is near death (if they even survive) after I've laid down my whole combo.

if you even managed to lay down your whole combo without interrupts flying up your butt.
but then again, the amount of interrupts in AB is so low, often meteor showers can be cast unmolested.

Well, its tough to interrupt spells that cast in 1 second or less.
Actually, to me, lag is a bigger problem than the opponents themselves in most cases.

Yeah, I'm in agreement with that. Personally i think AB is good, but it is worse than RA for Builds and people.
The whole 1v1 is also silly, back in the days when i ran a R/W build (noob tank mels resil ripstoe etc lol) I would constantly get people nagging at me saying 1v1 me etc basically because I killed them without dropping below 90% hp. But tbh AB has cleared up a bit since I last played GW (stopped for a few months)Use to be every warrior was either running wammo or tank build, and then every team made up of at least 2 of these.
But yeah I spose we all have to go through the noob times (<3 R/W )

I love to leave local chat on, it makes it far more amusing.
Often more amusing than having team chat on (if using a PUG) and your teammates are all spamming their skills and which shrine they are at.
1v1s, as stated lots of times above, are dumb. the whole of GW (barr, to a certain extent, RA, and some new solo quests in GWEN) is a team game.
