Another funny thing I often see in AB is when some lone sin, derv or tank charges up to my group, sometimes with NPCS (4-6 ppl + npc) The poor fool gets slaughtered in the most embarrassing manner, then he goes "4v1??...Luxon noobs!!" ..I just can't help but shoot back "Noobs? lol don't charge a group of 4 when you're alone you retard, tell me again who's the noob?.."
The "word" noob has become the default insult for those who can't think, lol I even get called noob right after I just killed 5 Kurz and 3 Kurz NPC's in the space of 5 sec within my AoE. It just makes me laugh at how absurd people can be at times.
I also find it quite annoying when some assassin hounds me for an entire match just because he was dumb enough to run right into my meteor shower after I just dropped one of his teammates, spamming "noob ele" or "I'd pwn joo 1v1 you suxon" ~ Moral of the story~> some people like kissing meteors.
I've gone from Friend of the Luxons (pre-update) to Warden in the space of 3 1/2 months (day job and other real life duties aside) and I've seen alot of funny things in AB, from "Headbutt Monks" to "SS tanks" (yes, warriors casting spiteful spirit) and my personal favorite, 55 monks in AB...absolutely priceless! xD
One thing I noticed about Kurzicks, in general, they favor the cheap and easy, if not underhanded ways to win. Often not with the results they'd hope for though. One battle in Etnaran the kurzicks had 2 groups with 2 Minion Masters each, their mob was downright immense. It stretched all the way from Ele shrine to mes and rez orb. It was nuts. The funny thing was, Luxon side still won though, it was a close fight, but we maintained the lead through the whole battle. That being said, mobbing RARELY results in a win.

Sure enough this sin was running at me while I was low on health and energy and then he busts out with the nub/noob comment because I kite away to heal.
I like how he said no running. lol

lmao Jrk247, I get that alot also, sins that charge up and kill me when I have 40 health or when my spells are recharging then call me "noob", "nub", "suxon noob" or sometimes just "suxon" when they're incredibly retarded. I just stay put when I'm low on health coz they're just doing me a favor coz you rez with full health and energy.

and in other news: my cripshot continues to dominate AB battles. somehow, its amazing performance is not catching on like wildfire like i originally thought. in about 30ish AB battles, i'd see just one other cripshot, and that guy was running a R/A with no interrupts.
my dshot > you. whoever you are.

Hahaha,
Yeah, I see those "stop running you stupid noob" alot in AB, not only from Sins but mainly for warriors without speed boost or snare. If I see a message like that in All Chat I usually reply with "welcome to pvp, its called kiting" (which is actually most of the time not true, because it is really plain running).
The funny thing though is that I am kurzick
Get over this typical: "All the idiots are on the other side" stuff, they are out there and everywhere, on both sides, trust me.
And 1 vs 1 ?? Seen that request lately more often ... scrimmages in GH's too... fine if they enjoy it but odd in a game that is more about the whole team then any other game I know...
Thanks for your time,
Timebandit

I think it is rather funny that they think killing you in 1v1 makes them better than you. If you can only kill someone 1v1 in a team game it looks to me like you have some serious issues.
Then there is the definition of noob that is used; you kill them, you are a noob; then kill you, you are a noob; you just can't win with these people. If anyone who gets killed in pvp is instantly a noob (which is what it seems to me that these people think) then it seems that just about everyone who has ever pressed the enter button in RA is a noob.

this one time, me and 4 other random rangers + the elite ranger npc all happened to converge on one group, who just teleported in through a telepad to the bottom of a hill. arrows were flying around like wasps, and i think a couple of those rangers were the barrage+splinter weapon variety.
accidental ranger spike ftw.

There is always at least one person to call you a noob for:- Running from a mob.
- Fighting a mob
- Killing someone as part of a mob.
- Mobbing instead of capping.
- Capping instead of mobbing.
- Refusing a 1v1 on the grounds of it being retarded.
- Trying to use a build that is on Wiki.
- Trying to use a build that isn't on Wiki.
- Being a Luxon.
- Being a Kurzick.
Thus, local chat is best left off in my opinion.

Haha it's still fun to own a sin trying to 1 on 1 you and then say, "Atleast use a cookie cutter wiki build." Let's just say he grudged the whole time in that match. Hehe I got what I deserved but it was still funny, he brought 2 other sin buddies to make sure I died.

Ok...I had to stop at page 5 to clear some stuff up first. Before reading the answers, check:http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Wammo.

Spikes? Who counts for spikes in AB?

Later you noted you play warrior. Having Mending Touch on a warrior requires you to be a wammo.

I really don't want to offend you or something, but this makes you a wHammo.

Ok I really have 0 clue why people moan about this.
1) If you think mobbing is bad, you shouldn't be screaming at the opposite team. Let them fail.
2) On Kaanai Canyon and Ancestral Lands, mobbing is actually great for the defensive team.
3) Mobs are a result of lack of survival abillities imo, I know some of you will say ''wtf, I don't lack survival abillities I can solo cap shrines'' ... ok I partly agree with you, you can survive and cap shrines alone but you also eliminate your team, 4 people kill faster + cap faster. That's actually where survival abillities have to be used, almost no one bothers to check radar to see if you should run before overcapping the shrine. Most of players wait to cap shrine even if they see the mob comming on the radar, then it's already too late to run away, you get killed by mob. If players would run away before capping, mob would stop to gain the shrine again and then probably chase your group. Then you see more flags on your side (the other 2 teams are capping...ok sometimes they don't but it's not reason to rage, all of us were new to AB in some time). The point is to try to help your team, not to prove yourself as an uber super leet awesome player. If you want to do that, go get a golden trim, make new guild with new people and do it on next monthly tournament.
Also I only see people saying how it's satisfying to see wammos' rage, quote wammos etc. Imo it's more satisfying to see an enemy that actually can do something properly raging on you after you killed him a few times (SP assassins for example, most of them think they are pro because they kill people)
And all of you who laugh that much at newbies using heal party on warrior etc... I agree with that guy who said it's pityful, you were all using stupid builds at some point, you weren't born with all the knowledge of gw you have atm. I agree it's fun to see a monk using Meteor Shower or something like that, share it with friends, have a good laugh and that's all...but seeing 2-3 pages in a row of ''how wammos got owned with their retarded builds and then trashtalked us'' is indeed pityful.

I did once use a few stupid builds (in PvP standards) way back when in PvE, and it wasn't even that stupid it is now by PvP standards but it was a general sever, gash, final thrust sword build but it had inferno in it. Now it wasn't really bad but it wasn't the greatest. I don't know why people think everyone when they were newbs to the game used crappy builds. lol I still haven't bought/unlocked mending on my warrior or even healing hands. I just like how people use that as an excuse, you should still know basic game mechanics. Inferno wasn't all that bad on a PvE warrior back then so don't say how warriors using meteor shower is natural and everyone else did it.
Still laugh everytime I see squishies using heal sig, lol. Do people even read descriptions? -40 armor on a 60 AL caster =/= good decision.

I said it's ok to have a good laugh and share it with friends etc... but my point is that it's not here for fun anymore, it's more for bashing people, which sux big time.

I've had fun just sitting there (it was Grenz on the luxon side so we basically just sat there) laughing at the wannabe flamers in the match. They just sit there mobbing the base and then say stupid 2nd grade comments when they manage to kill you. AB is truely fun when you get it across your head that you can't (and won't) win them all. Hell, we were losing 3+ matches in a row at Grenz and we had fun just losing, lol.
Can't beat this:
Me: "GG haha we win."
Kurz: "WTF noob we won you are suxons!"
Me "We win at losing!"
lol, it's funny to see how far some people will go to make someone feel bad (omg gotta boost my EGO).

Another great case just a few mins ago in RA.
This mystic regen derv, whom is all alone since we killed the rest of the team, starts running around, using his enchants to keep alive, shouting how big of noobs we are because we can't kill him.
Anyway, he challenges us to a one on one, bragging how he will defeat us. First our mesmer, who was running an e-denial build, whom he actually nearly kills (if it wasn't for our über-healing necro ), next me, running a heal as one R/P, so we fight, he keeps killing my pet, I get him down to 50% health, the guy uses frenzy :') Anyway, down to 5% health he starts running away again shouting how he would've beaten me if it wouldn't have been for my teammates (who weren't even close). Still calling us noobs, saying that he could take on anyone in a one v one fight.
after 30 mins, he finally leaves.
